Will this take a rivet shaft of this size? Five/32" rivets with a 1/4" shaft are in my bag. Thanks a lot. ?

The following features are included with the SG19400 This tool is for riveting. Reinforcement of plastic rivets without the need to re-steel A gripping experience. The operation is performed with one hand. The nosepiece is the same size for all sizes. It should fit with a 5/32" shank based on that information. I believe it works with shanks between 1/8" and 3/16". I found some other information online about 10mm shanks working.

What kind of rivets does it have?

Neither rivets nor screws are provided with this tool. As long as you use plastic rivets available from multiple sources, you will not have any problems. The

Although I followed the directions, I could not remove the stuck stem. It isn't possible to use needle nose pliers. Could there be another option?

Do you have the stem in your rivet or in your You can use a pin punch to push the pin back thru the head of the rivet to the underside. you have the tool in your hand, unscrew the nose cap, hold the tool pointing down (gravity helps here) and spread the jaws the utility knife blade works well for this. Do not push the jaws back into the tool, and the stem should pop out. This tool has a stem which has fallen deeper into it than should have been the case. In this step, make sure you wedge a tooth pick in the jaw to keep it open, making sure no part of the tooth pick reaches into the middle of the jaw. As you shake it, point your jaws downward to cause the stem to In the event that the jaws are pushed in, the stem will become trapped in the tool. Always keep the tool pointed downward while taking the stem out. Don't forget to take the stem off before storing your plants. These types of surprises occur when you forget about something and the next time you use it, it just messes up your day. The stem of each rivet should be checked before being inserted into the tool by simply grasping the stem between your thumb and forefinger A pulling motion with the fingertip and a stem in your hand. Remove a burr from the stem before using it, or don't use it if there is one. An easy way to do it is to A retail store selling automotive paint supplies is the cheapest place to get rivets like these. One of the most expensive parts departments at a car dealership!

There is no cutting of the stem with this tool! What are the steps involved?

The rivet simply needs to be secured in place, then the tool attached to the long side should be squeezed. When it sets up, it will... Pull up the I would like to know the process for cutting rivets. Exactly what I needed! This was purchased to do one job only
5/5

My new front splitter for my Corvette needs to be installed. In addition to the 10 or so screws that hold the splitter in place, there are also 10 factory rivets that secure the splitter to the bumper. Therefore, it was recommended to reinstall the rivets when attaching the splitter to the car. As soon as I removed the old rivets, I wanted to use new ones for safety purposes. The rivet tool and the plastic rivets that I purchased off Amazon allowed me to retrofit my pants just as easily. In the old ones, drilling out was the most difficult task. In spite of its simplicity, however, this tool is quite effective. a rivet into the tool, squeeze once, release, then squeeze again, and the tail of the rivet breaks off, after which you are ready to move on. This new splitter had a nice and tight fit around the rivet. I'm glad to have finally found a tool that performs well the first time. Even though I don't see another occasion when the tool will be used, I'll keep it because it's easy to use and convenient to have.

The tool is of good quality
5/5

Do not use it to break off rivet ends. The tool will become stuck with the rivet ends. The problem was that I had to purchase this and a bunch of rivets to put the inner fender back on my Dakota, but that's not the tool's fault. It would seem that it would be very well built, and it did exactly what I needed. Voici a tip After rivets are set, do not use the tool to break the rivet ends off. The tool can get stuck with the ends of the rivets. Side cutters can be used to cut them.

This is an excellent I love that it works! There is no problem with this gadget

For this purpose, I had to replace the plastic inner wheel liner on the drivers side. To do this, I had to remove the factory pop rivets to take off the plastic fender trim. Once this step is completed, one has to install The pop rivets I bought on Amazon were exact replacements. I used this little tool on com and it worked! You have to put the rivet in the gun, press two times and it is completed. The pack of 30 rivets cost me about fifty cents, but I was able to use it in the future since I had 6 rivets to My tool collection has become ever bigger and better with the addition of this wonderful tool. A new rivet is being installed on my equipment using this tool

My 2008 Jeep Wrangler fender flares need new rivets, so I bought this tool to do the job. A mandrel spent on the tool clung to the head of the tool for some time and wouldn't drop out. There was no way I could get it out of my mouth, no matter what I did. As all pieces of the tool are "pressed" together, no parts of the tool can be separated. Among the advantages Please be patient. I bought a plastic rivet tool for a reasonable price, but it did not last a whole project. Please be patient. It's hard to grip the handles due to their short length. During the job, the spent mandrel does not pop off flush with the head. The reloading has to be done manually Isn't that cute). Please be patient. There is no way to disassemble this tool so that the mandrel can be extracted.

Purchase was the worst I have ever made

An added twist on the third rivet jammed the third tool due to a plastic shank that was caught in the shank. To remove the stuck shank, I followed the instructions from the manufacturer. Until it falls out, hold the handle down and squeeze it NOT AT ALL! Two rivets that had been set before jamming had a half inch of shank sticking out that I had to cut off with a razor knife. I had to purchase a new punch and one of those two that I had set had been a quick set. There is no point in wasting your time or money on this Taiwanese piece of crap.

Building a solid foundation The easiest way to use this site The price is reasonable
4/5

This tool is well built, and I'm surprised by its solid construction. In my expectation, I would have found something made of plastic, but I found a well-crafted wooden object The tool is a metal one. As far as the operation is concerned, there were no complaints, nor did I experience any pin cut-outs The grasping cylinder becomes jammed if the offs get stuck there. The problem may be due to the size of the plastic rivets being used, as the size of the rivets is likely to lead to some of the issues others have reported. Fortunately, I didn't experience any problems of this nature. As I noticed when I pulled the pin the first time, the tool had lifted it about half way out, and I had to reposition and pull again. Fastener snapped into place after being tightened in place - A pin has been taken off. You can see the size of this tool in the images below, so you won't think it is To be used for re-use How to attach the wheel The trim on my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee is very well done As I was traveling overland, I had to either remove the wheels, or turn full-speed Use the tool within the lock so there is space for it. In this case, I chose to simply turn the wheel rather than remove The purchase has been a good one overall for me.

The part seems to be high quality for the price
5/5

It did what it was supposed to do when I used it on my Jeep Wrangler JK fender. A trail damage to the Jeep’s front fender in the right side necessitated riveting the plastic rivets. This riveting tool worked perfectly to repair the fender. Similar tools were more costly, but this tool was less expensive. It was actually very enjoyable to use! Because it's now known about, I'm sure my friends and relatives will tell their friends as well as pass it around.

Fenders for Jeeps are perfect for this
5/5

We bought one of these to replace the plastic pop rivets on our Any person who has ever removed the fenders with tools (as in, not by natural means of a tight trail and a tree) will understand what I mean. Try putting the back on first before putting the front on, especially The person I am talking about understands what I am saying. It was by far the easiest part of the process to use this tool, and it worked wonderfully.
