It works with an LS engine. I use it on a 2001 5 liter.
For a Gen III GM LS-based engine, a Lift Plate is required It has a capacity of 1,000 pounds and is from the Series Valley Cover.
Lifting a LS2 with a T56 6 speed was a lot of fun.

Although it did not advertise that the box would contain hardware, it did not come with any. I like that it fits perfectly and even has a total of ten securing points. Despite the lack of welds on the unit, it looks like it will be strong enough to lift the transmission and motor.
I was able to pull a Gen 4 5 with no issues. Installation of a new gen 4 6 on a gen 3 device. Bolts are used for the valley cover.
There can be alignment issues for transmissions when you put an LS motor into something without this well-made sturdy design that allows you chip the motor up, down, and sideways to match up with the transmission. With this device, I would have had to pay two times as much.
A pair of plates welded together costs quite a bit. I was able to complete the task without any problems. The swap of an engine was my first time. I probably could have done it without the engine swapper, but I wanted to get it right the first time.
The same goes for you. LS engines can be lifted by this device in an amazing way. Bolts aren't included, so you'll need to obtain them separately. In this knock sensor plate, the bolts do not get tight before bottoming out, so they don't prevent the plate from bottoming out.
LS engine removal and installation are quick and easy with this tool. Installation of this lift plate takes no more than five minutes. This can be achieved by removing the intake, valley cover, anti knock sensors, and valley cover. The fit is perfect, and it is a heavy duty strap. There will be no more seat belt tying around the exhaust pipe.
My 55 Chevy with a six-speed stick had an LS1 LS1 in it and I used this method to lift it. An improvement I would suggest would be that adjusting the tilt of the engine could be done by attaching a screw to the frame. I had to sit the engine on a frame to attach the pivot point.
