As long as the rivet sizes are within the capability of your rivet gun, you should be able to use rivets from other manufacturers. I used Harbor Freight rivets (only two) for a small job and they worked well. My order of bulk rivets from another manufacturer was received recently, but I have still not used them. There is a technique to successful rivets which can make the difference between a successful rivet and a failed one. Pump the gun to apply pressure to the rivet as you hold it tightly. I wish you the best of
It has not yet been used by me. Buying it because of that is one reason I picked it up.
The gun takes a lot of force to use since I have large hands. It is unclear whether someone with small hands would be able to use the product. There is a chance that it will be challenging.

Purchasing this tool to replace an old pop rivet tool was a good choice. In my career, I mostly work with kayak deck fittings, so I use pop rivet tools. As far as the first three rivets go, it was pretty good. When it started slipping, it got worse. To put it simply, it lost its hold. My gnarly old hand tool that pinches my fingers didn't work well enough, so I moved to my old tool and set the remaining rivets perfectly (after wasting several rivets trying to make it do it). Looking for a job is still on my list. I must have had it too long before returning so after one short use, it will go in the recycle bin.
I work in a body shop and I've been buying tools from Amazon for a long time. I'm too cheap to pay the inflated truck brand prices, and 2 I'm too cheap to waste my money on a new truck. As an alternative to them, I am trying to show the other guys what other options are available. In every way I bought the Ares riveter and it rivaled the ones they purchased off the truck at a fraction of the price. However, after two weeks of daily hard use the "biting" mechanism finally broke. Ares sent me a replacement right away without hassle after I contacted them. I think that was the most important thing to the other guy. We also get a lifetime guarantee with ours. As someone who has recently used Ares tools, I can confirm that their quality is unmatched and their products stand behind them. If you want professional quality tools without the insane prices, try Ares. You will not.
In the end, it was harder than it needed to be, as long as you had two guys, or perhaps a Sasquatch nearby. I'd like the handles to be twice as long so that they are more effective. Anyway, it was a lot harder than I imagined ruining my afternoon.
A rivet tool of this kind was acquired due to the need to replace rivets in my son's 2006 Volvo S60's inner fender liner. Despite the fact that I am not using the tool for professional purposes, I find the tool Despite never having used a pop-up before, I found it to be a great tool for my application It has never been done before with a rivet gun. There are no pop-ups included in the package I haven't used any of them A rivet. My alternative was to use The rivets on my son's car are spec rivets. Four stem holders are included with this set, and one of them is well suited for the Volvo rivets. Simple to use and affordable, this tool achieves great results for such a small investment. As well as sending me the Operations and Use Manual, I really liked that the Seller emailed it to me. My experience with this purchase has been excellent.
its price. I would say that they're not terrible, but they definitely aren't suitable If you are someone who has to use these tools frequently, these are much better than CherryMax G28-type tools I don't think the quality is bad, but if you have difficulty pulling out the stem of the rivet after use, it jams often. Higher end competitors just slide out the stem after use. Having to kind of wiggle this one a bit and fight it a bit to eject the stem is a hassle. Contrary to what the G28 did There's more to the G30 than just one squeeze. You have to manually squeeze the rivet stem and reposition it a couple of times to get it fully "popped" In the middle of a squeeze on the rivet, the handle will get stuck halfway, which I find irritating since it won't grab the stem again until the handle is fully extended. For home small projects, these are great because of their low price, but if you're looking for something more professional, you'll have to pay more to get that hassle-free tool of proper quality.
When you want a cheap price for a quick job with a quick turnaround, quick and easy is the best choice for you. That's all there is to However, I would not recommend using this for rivets with a 3/16 inch diameter. With the short handles, it is impossible to exert the force needed to fasten a 3/16 inch head. You might be able to get away with smaller sizes. With the 3/16 rivets I was using, I needed to use two cheater bars just to get the leverage for removing them. Although I didn't use those that came with the unit, I used the ones I found online. Although the handles and case seem to be well built and sturdy, I am not confident in its durability for multiple jobs as the grips do all the work.
Make sure that you know how to use rivets, including how to use There may be something new you learn, and I suspect many of the complaints I've read regarding this tool are due to users who aren't familiar with this You must use a fitting with the proper diameter Depending on the rivet diameter, there are four different guns on the gun.
The gun looks and feels well built. I installed about 200 rivets with the gun today, and it worked flawlessly each time. I am sure that eventually it will wear out, but I plan to put in a lot of rivets until then.
