It didn't work on wheel bearing seals, but I don't know how it does with pinion oil This only did one thing, which was to cut through Using a claw hammer was the best thing for me to use for wheel bearing seals. I loved the way it worked.

You shouldn't purchase this seal puller, even though it is a great seal puller. The Lisle 56650 Adjustable Seal Puller is an excellent alternative. There is also another one available at four bucks more and it offers five locked positions, including the straight position, which this one does not offer. Make sure you have an adjustable seal puller if you do not have one already. You'll probably only need that one.
Although this costs around 15 dollars, I am willing to part with it. While this is a "Made in the USA" product, its quality is relatively poor. In the time it took to latch the arm, the pin that held it in place fell apart. However, the pin tends to fall out a lot and I find the tool useless. A detent ball would repeatedly pop out of place. The QC should have caught this in the first place, but it In the end, it is not worth sending back because of It does justify taking half a point off the rating, however. This is a fine blade, but it does not have a sharp enough tip for some tight-fisted work These seals serve as clearance. It took me several screwdriver turns to start several seals, but then the tool was able to get inside and begin to work.
My goal was to buy this tool so I would not have to endure all the frustration of removing stuck in place seals, but it made literally no difference at all. There are none at all. The seals I dealt with were not the worst I've ever As it turns out, this tool is only suitable for removing seals that do not put up a fierce My opinion is mixed about this. To be honest, I am pretty disappointed.
I gave this 2 stars because the construction feels quite solid, and I believe it will last a long time. If you have good seals, of course.
It was impossible for a straight one to gain leverage on a 2009 Elantra crank seal, but by adjusting the head on this one, it was entirely possible. **** Head quickly and easily adjusts with the help of the firm, self-locking mechanism There is an out pin at the end of the puller that can be positioned either way. I am very, very, very pleased with the tool. It is much sturdier than it appears in photographs.
Over the course of several days, I tried to remove the oil seal from my 1999 Mustang's automatic transmission tailshaft - I got so tired, I couldn't even walk. Don't damage the aluminum housing by dropping heavy objects on it. Video tutorials and suggested techniques were not effective, so I ordered the tool via Amazon (at a better price than at my local auto parts It was with a little trepidation that I approached the car, entered the tool, and with a twist - out it came. This caused the seal to pop. When you are laying on your back and laying on your back next to a car that is six inches away from your nose, you could make a huge difference by setting the angle of attack with a Lisle seal puller. It is essential to get a seal puller even if you just THINK you might need one.
I have been packing my own bearings in my travel trailer for the last couple of years. In my first attempt I used a piece of wood to hammer the seal out of the other side (like how a YouTube video I watched explained it). During the bend, the bearing cage bent, along with the hub races. I had to replace the cages and races as a result. I am having a lot of trouble. Using this tool, I was able to clip the seal in a fraction of the time. I was quite pleased with it. At first I was concerned about the thinness of it, but I found it to be sturdy enough and worked as expected.
The one in this case If you want a bendy, you can get one for a few bucks less The master puller should be bought at Harbor Freight, returned when it breaks, and a box of bandaids for your knuckles should be bought then returned. If you purchase this tool once, you will have it for life.
Prior to seeing this type of seal puller, I had planned to buy a standard seal puller. Because I had only seen the standard full-featured movies, I was somewhat skeptical, as it seemed gimmicky The pullers have previously been of different sizes. It was due to a lack of space that we decided. The tool worked like a charm the very first time. The ratchet clicked securely into place on the tool and it felt solid while in use, You should note To increase my leverage, I used a cheater bar on my 3/8" ratchet.
