Added the first use to the end and removed the second use It was never even put under pressure. This piece of equipment came from the factory badly threaded. QC China did a great job! I have returned!.
I found the tool to be exactly what I was looking for. On a 2000 Taurus, I was able to remove and replace the power steering pulley. The only tip I can give is to lubricate the screws with antifreeze A thread sealant that prevents the threads from being damaged and makes the operation smoother. This is great!.
It was basically impossible to get this kit to come off the pulley, but to get it on it was quite difficult. After the pulley is taken off, a little peg is used to lubricate it then, when the pulley is put on again, you place an adapter in its place. Due to the same direction of the threads as the threads used to apply pressure to the pulley, it's difficult to put the pulley on because of the threads. I feel like the threads would look really cool if they were reversed. The rest of the kit is solid.
As I was rebuilding the power steering pump, I used it to remove the pulley from it. As I reassembled the pulley and plugged it into the pump, the adapter that screws into it stripped out inside of the larger threaded part 1/4 of an inch from completion. This is the first time I have used it!.
The Steering and Alternator Pulley Removal and Installation Tool Set
out looked to be of good quality at a reasonable price. There is an old toolbox on my tool truck that is 30 years old. It has a few extra parts that my old one does not have. It seems better made, of course, but I just purchased this one for other reasons. As time goes on, we will know if it holds up as well as the other.
My experience with this tool included removing the pulley from a '88 Chevy pickup and a '90 Chevy van with conventional pulleys, and installing them on other GM and Ford models. Please press 'P' There are pulleys on the pump for the power steering.
When you use hand tools, you break it on the first try.
I bought a cheaper version and it did not work Hey, you don't use it that often, do you? This is incorrect. I ended up breaking that one and ordering this one, which did the job that I'd cursed at for three hours with a cheaper tool in just five minutes. You should just spend the money, get this one on the road, and then.
