Questions & Answers

Is it difficult to remove the panel in the event that it is required? The clearance is only 3/4". Will wrenches fit, and can you spin the lock nut?

It's possible, but it wouldn't be enjoyable. It's a lot easier if your fingers are very thin. If you're worried about having to remove a panel later, I'd recommend putting the nuts and washers on the outside; this will make removal and replacement much easier, and it'll likely be possible without having to work a box end wrench or 1/4 drive socket under the panel and onto the screw head.

What is the maximum amount of power this will provide?

Hello Richard,br>These are mounting brackets that can handle any voltage or current. Please reach out to us at (800) 222-4444. 330- If you have any additional questions, please call 8678, and have a wonderful day!

How many are required for two panels to be placed side by side?

Two different sets were used. Each panel has four mounting holes. There was no way to connect them so that they could all use the same set of tools. It's also worth noting that they're perched right on the edge of the roof. clearance of about 1/2 inch

Is it possible to use these with Yakima tracks?

I assume you want to put solar panels on your roof. They'll be too big for the track.

Brackets for mounting solar panels
4/5

Solar panels can be mounted to almost any roof with these 'Z' brackets. The brackets are already in place. drilled for roof mounting (2-piece) self-tapping screws) and fasten to the underside of the table. each panel's (2-) side bolts). I don't use the hardware that comes with the brackets in my case, and here's why and how I did it. Bytul is something I use. rolled- Putty each bracket with a piece of putty and sew directly to the roof (1/4" x 1. 25" screws), resulting in a watertight seal where the screws are driven into the roof. I don't want to take this bracket off the roof to 'lift' a panel for any reason, so I use self-supporting brackets instead. Mount the solar panels on the side or end with tapping screws. This way, I only have to remove the self tapping screws, not the roof screws, which would break the watertight seal. Yes, I lifted panels again in this installation, this time to connect to the wiring hidden beneath the panel to add two more panels to the roof of our truck camper. Another advantage of self-employment is that it allows you to work from home. The "Z" brackets can be mounted on any side/end of the panels that corresponds to your roof structure and ease of access by tapping screws. The roof brackets are made of aluminum, are strong, and will not rust. I prefer to see people who are self-assured. Using the provided tapping screws instead of the bolts to attach the panels to the bottom; I'd give this product a five-star rating if I were to rate it. a rating of five stars It is solely my opinion.

On the RF Roof, it worked perfectly
5/5

I considered making my own RV roof panel brackets because I am a firm believer in DIY. I had no choice but to get these because I was running out of time. I'm glad I took the opportunity to do so. It would be difficult to make them better. On the single bolt that connects the bracket and the panel frame, I used red thread locker. Between the brackets and the 1/8" plywood roof, I used Eternabond rubber roof repair to "level" the joint and cushion the contact. On the non-metallic surfaces, I used a lot of Sika Sikaflex 221 Eternabond's sticky side and the bracket, as well as the screws. The screws come with a silicon gasket, so the Sikaflex is merely an extra layer of protection. I pre-drilled the screws into the 1/8" plywood to ensure they got a good grip. drilled holes rather than relying on the self-assembly end of the screw to be tapped Since installing the panels, I've hit 70 mph a few times, and they're still firmly fastened to the roof.

Mounting on the Roof Z The Bracket Kit is made of high-quality materials and comes with everything you need
5/5

The Z- All of the necessary hardware was included in the bracket solar mounting kit. I didn't think I'd need two sets at first, but I ended up ordering more panels, and now I'm in desperate need of more. The brackets are smooth and do not have any sharp edges. I won't have to worry about rusting because the bolts, washers, and nuts are all stainless steel. Water running down and over the shingles has caused rust streaks. The slotted holes in the solar panel frames, as well as other competitors' frames, allowed for machining tolerances. The roof mounting hardware was not stainless, but treated or plated. They have socketheads, which allow for simple installation and removal in the future. I found the Renology You Tube video installation guide to be very helpful.

They're self-tapping fine threads for thin metals
3/5

The ceiling isn't high enough to allow for proper ventilation. After the fact, I found out. Furthermore, the anchoring screws provided are not intended for use with wood. If you have a rubber roof over plywood paneling, like most RVs, I recommend using those white plastic self tapping drywall anchors. They are fine thread self tapping for thin metals, but hold on to them because you're likely to hit the frame once or twice. In most cases, the roof is just 3/16 plywood laminate with a very thin rubber roof on top, followed by polystyrene. You could also use wall dogs to save a step in the installation process, but they don't hold up as well on my substrate. Remember to use a lot of lap sealant!.

It's simple to use, has all of the necessary hardware, and is extremely long-lasting
5/5

Because of the design of the brackets, it comes with all necessary hardware and makes the job much easier. Simply place the brackets near the area you want to attach them to, make sure you're mounting to a secure surface, and fasten them. br>br>I found it easier to mount the brackets to the solar panel first, then the brackets to the trailer tubular "frame" last, as they're much more secure.

It's the equivalent of purchasing a vehicle without a steering wheel
3/5

I gave this item a three-star rating not because there is anything wrong with it, but because these parts are required for mounting the solar panel but are not included with it. There is an EXTRA purchase available. (This is similar to the most recent Boeing debacle. ) I believe that failing to disclose that no mounting hardware is included is poor marketing and deceptive advertising. It caused a two-day delay in the installation of my solar panel, which was inconvenient because I was on a tight schedule.

Simply put, the design is excellent
5/5

These clips are something I've used in the past. They are simple to attach and mount. Renogy's panels are designed with clips that can be attached in a variety of locations to meet a variety of mounting requirements. They should work on any panel if you are willing to drill a few holes in it. Renogy panels are my preferred choice because they are affordable and have never failed me.

It's difficult to think of anything else I could ask for
5/5

I used these to mount some panels on my shed and they worked perfectly. I chose to use eight mounts per panel because I was using 72 cell panels (overengineered, but worth the peace of mind for the price). We recently had a strong storm (gusts over 60 mph) and had no problems; however, these only come with screws for mounting into metal, so I had to get my own for mounting onto my shed, which was the only "issue. ".
