All you have to do is connect the end with the battery clips, which will show up as red positive and black negative on top of the battery. Once those two items are plugged in, plug the unit into a 110 wall socket to charge it. Follow the instructions on how to tell when the batter is fully charged. This unit is not installed; it is intended to be used as needed, and it can be left connected to your battery while your car is parked at home without causing damage to the battery. Once charged, unplug the battery and the wall outlet until the next time you need it; hopefully this helps, but be sure to read the instructions on how to interpret what the lights on the unit are telling you.

Both of these chargers are in my possession, but the AXTRA car battery maintainer is less expensive and more effective than the Battery tender 1. Charger with a capacity of 25 amps I hope this information is useful; here's the product's link: www. amazon. com/AXTRA- com/AXTRA- com/AXTRA- Fully- Automatically - Keeper – Motorbike- AXTRA has a dp/B08T7V4VQC/tractors/dp/B08T7V4VQC/tractors/dp/B08T7V4VQC/tractors/dp/B08T7V 9 amps and 3 amps Fast/slow charging and maintenance of lead acid batteries with a 6 amp option. At the very least, the AXTRA battery charger improves the performance of my Honda Accord and Toyota Sienna.

As a replacement, I got a new battery tender plus. As an electrician, I ensured that this unit was properly installed on a brand new fully charged battery with a reading of 12. 7V. br>In this environment, the battery tender plus should show a steady green. It does, however, display a flashing red all the time. The unit is not properly connected, as indicated by this message. This isn't the case at all. It's possible that the battery tender's internal wiring or circuit is faulty. MY REQUEST FOR SERVICE AND CORRECTIONS WAS IGNORED BY THE VENDOR! Money that could have been used for something better.
My first one was purchased in 1993 and lasted until 2016- about 23 yearsbr>br>so I went out and bought a second one, which only lasted about 2 years of light use, and then- It used to be "build a better mousetrap"br>br>now it's "build a cheaper and cheaper and cheaper mousetrap" because it failed right when it was needed. br>br>it used to be "build a better mousetrap"br>br>it used to be "build a better mousetrap"br>br>it used to be "build a better mousetrap"br>br>it used to be "build a better mouse br>br>and then profit from it. Until it no longer catches micebr>br>What about the warranty? The proper warranty, on the other hand, appears to be limited to 90 days. Deltran considers this product to be extremely good. 90 days. br>br>the "ten year warranty" appears to cost the customer about the same as the "unit cost" to Deltranbr>br>shame on you, Deltranbr>br>.
Every customer who reads on Amazon that this Battery Tender product comes with a 10-year warranty should buy it. The ten-year warranty assumes that the product can be returned to the manufacturer for repair (at no cost) or replacement (at no cost) within those ten years. Deltran DOES charge you an evaluation fee to determine what's wrong with the unit and how they'll fix it for a significant portion of the warranty period. This is blatantly deceptive. It's a good charger in my opinion, and I've never had any issues with it. However, if I ever have a problem, it may be less expensive to purchase a new charger from any retail outlet than to pay the evaluation fee plus shipping. The warranty period is a lie, as stated in the "From the Manufacturer" section of this product's Amazon page. As a result, only one star has been awarded.
This did not keep the battery charged after being left on my car all winter. I assumed it was my hookup, but when I asked a shop to show me how to connect, they said it didn't work for them either. I'm hoping for a response here to see if I can get this item replaced because the link to return it is no longer active.
Support from the company will be forthcoming. It is not possible to use it right out of the box. Emails sent to the company's customer service department are not being responded to. Before the return period expired, I didn't get a chance to try. When I first unpackaged a new product, it sends no current of any kind through the leads (though it does have power at the plug). I attempted to contact the manufacturer for a response and received NO RESPONSE AT ALL. What a POS system, and what a disgraceful level of customer service.
It worked fine for a few months before abruptly ceasing to charge. Even though the lights are turned on, no one is in the house. It would have been a fantastic product if the quality had held up, but since it hasn't, don't waste your money.
I "inherited" a boat as well as other items, including a brand new battery. it has never been used But it had been sitting in my garage for over a year, and I was worried about how it would perform when I tried to charge it. I bought this charger because it had a steady red light for almost two days, so I assumed it was defective. Then it changed to green, which means everything is fine! br>br>UPDATE: br>br> 31st of December, 2017 The device is no longer functional. There are no lights. Nothing. I guess I was ahead of the curve on this one because I wrote a positive review (above) within the first few days of ownership, but it was deleted. After all, I had squandered my funds.
That's correct. br>br>In our garage, I only used this charger a few times. The lights in the unit were turned off one morning. The GFCI had tripped, which was discovered. It was reset after it was discovered that the tender was emitting smoke and that the breaker had tripped once more. So, assuming it came with a ten-year warranty, I went to their website and discovered the following: br>br>After 90 days with proof of purchase, the purchaser is responsible for the cost of transporting products to Deltran for warranty service. br>br>I could deal with it, but I'd have to pay $12 on top of it. 95 for an evaluation of your warranty, plus shipping Fees for handling (WESH). So, in total, I'll be out $15-$20. I paid $20 for a product that was under $50. br>br>In essence, you get a 90-day warranty; after that, you'll have to pay for shipping and a warranty evaluation.
