I got these because some manufacturers fail to color code their positive and negative wires, or worse, wire them in the wrong direction. These connectors make troubleshooting and connecting devices without having to open a sealed solar controller box a breeze.
- There is a small amount of electrical loss and noise produced by any electrical connector. These are a good temporary fix, and while fixing any wiring issues is preferable, having these on hand in an emergency is invaluable.

I have a lot of automotive accessories (chargers, inverters, and so on) and a few solar panel accessories, and some of them have the wrong polarity of SAE connector hard-wired in place, making it difficult for me to connect them properly. Some have a plus pin exposed, while others have a minus pin. minus pin that has been exposed I can use these adapters to check the polarity of the devices I want to connect and make sure they're in the right place. Before using these, double-check that your devices are polarized. I've used them on a total of six different occasions. Amp connections have worked well and have not become warm as a result of excessive current.

I have a variety of solar and AC battery chargers that, unfortunately, do not all have the same plug polarity. When I need to switch which one I'm using, I've had no choice but to reverse the battery leads (and try to remember that). When I need to switch polarity, I can do so quickly using this method. Nice.

I received a solar panel with extremely short connections at the end, which were exactly what I required. The other plugs are a perfect match for this look. I am pleased with this item because it has worked well for me.
