It's a nice panel, but if you plan on using it to charge a car battery, read this first. When there isn't any sunlight, it draws power from the battery. When the panel is in the sun (battery is charging), the current on my multimeter is positive, but when the panel is not in the sun (battery is being drained), the current is negative. Because it's only discharging at about 3 mA, I believe it's just the small green LED on the back of the panel that's drawing power. The cigarette lighter plug that comes with it also has a red LED on it that stays on even when the solar panel, which uses battery, is unplugged. Before you decide not to buy it, keep in mind that the amount of power used by two small LEDs is negligible in comparison to the amount of power collected each day by the panel, but just so you know, the battery does discharge slightly overnight. When there isn't any sunlight, I wish the LEDs would not turn on. Even so, it's a fantastic panel. I use this panel to charge a power wheels battery for a portable solar power bank, and it helps my battery start the car faster now that it's always charged. The only other disadvantage is that the panel gets extremely hot when exposed to direct sunlight, but it appears that a 20 watt version with a white backing is available, which should keep things cooler.

This was purchased because my truck is currently parked on the street due to the quarantine. After two weeks of not driving it, the battery had died. This was connected for a week, but nothing happened. A good old-fashioned charger was used to charge the battery. I used a 12v accessory outlet to plug this in. It's been another two weeks since I started the truck again, this time with the solar charger connected. A voltmeter was used to check the voltages. The truck cranked up to full speed and roared to life. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: 9 June 2020 is the date. My daily driver, which has only been driven once in the last two weeks, is dead; no crank, no nothing; I had to unlock it manually. My weekend truck, which is connected to this solar charger, hasn't been driven in weeks, but it was fired up right away.

For my 2014 Ford F150 6, I purchased this. 2L with a strong battery that has never failed to start. br>I'm about to leave for a four-week vacation and thought this would be a good solution for the truck that will be parked at the airport while I'm gone, ensuring it starts when I return. This week, I purchased it and put it to the test. The truck battery had already reached 12 volts and was cranking as hard as it had before. I used a cigar lighter to connect the panel because I wanted to make sure it was fused. br>It was showing 14 at the time. 5v and 0. 5A directly from the pigtail on the panel. br>I didn't start it for four days on purpose, and when I went to check on it yesterday, the battery had completely depleted. br>That was quickly remedied by my jump box, which I'll use instead if necessary. br>Another Amazon refund is on the way.

I haven't tried this product yet, but it appears to be of good quality; I haven't tried it yet, but it appears to be of good quality; heavy- I was hoping to install this directly to the battery with the nice in-line connectors, but the ish wires don't look like they'll last. It comes with a line disconnect, but the direct terminal and clamp connection options aren't fused. I would never direct connect without first modifying the wiring to add a fuse. br>br>My 12v socket is live even when the car is turned off, so I'll stick with that connection for now. br>A red status light on the socket connector and a green light on the panel make it simple to check that the unit is connected and working.

I have this on the inside of my RV windshield, held in place by the sunshade, and I simply plug it into the power socket, and presto, no more dead batteries after over six weeks of sitting outside, ready to be fired up for our next camping trip.

BMW E93 2010 is in excellent condition. I own a 2010 BMW e93 that has only been driven three times. A year's worth of travel is 4000 miles. As a result, the sequence is 4-. The interval between starts is six weeks. br>br>To cut a long story short, I was sick of starting it every seven days. 10 days. After a while, that wasn't enough, and I began to receive the cc id 415 code. br>br>All that's left is to hook up the red clamp to the engine bay post and the black clamp to a nut on the strut tower. Amazing. br>br> My battery is kept charged thanks to the trickle charger. I was gone for six weeks, and when I opened the door, the car started up as if it were a daily driver. br>br>What makes you want to go solar? I keep this car at someone else's house because I didn't want my cables to bother anyone, and I don't have to worry about fires or too much juice because the panel can't produce too much. br>br>I'm kicking myself for not buying sooner. In the rain, there were no issues. On hot sunny days, the car is partially shaded, and the panel gets extremely hot, but this does not appear to be a problem. br>br>One minor snag: the cables fail to account for the fact that some people, like myself, use a car cover. As a result, I won't be using the included accessories. I also made a tiny hole in the car cover for the cable, which would be nice if it was about a foot longer, and I rest the panel on top of the car cover right above the windshield wiper in the center of the windshield.

On a cloudy day with snow outside, I moved the 12v deep cycle battery to the inside of my trailer, connected it to the charger, and installed the solar panel on the window. It still works well and does its job. I'll check on it later and update.
