From unpacking to application, there are a slew of problems to contend with

The quality is poor. The blue "ready" light is inactive about half of the time, which is obviously a problem because the instruction booklet states that if the light is not on while the unit is in the sun, check the output with a multimeter. To achieve the rated output, the sun had to be bright and direct. Because angular light does not produce 12 volts, the unit is frequently not charging a 12 volt battery.

Good quality for the price, with an indicator light

Mounted to the roof of a gas golf cart to keep the starter battery charged. When it produces current, a blue indicator light illuminates. It can also be mounted with small screws or bolts instead of suction cups, which makes it a very good product for the money.
