It appears that each tool's name and number were listed on a single sheet of paper. As a result, I've learned a lot. It's a simple process. Simply give it a shot.
That pair of pliers isn't included in this kit.

Don't buy this kit if you only want the hose clamp pliers with a long reach. With these pliers, I was attempting to remove a lower radiator hose clamp, and the clamp on the end of the cable snapped right off the first time I used them. They must have foreseen this, as a spare with a set screw is included. On the first try, it also came off. br>The hose clamp pliers that were left worked perfectly.
These are cheaply made, as you'd expect given the price, so if you're a professional who needs these on a regular basis, you should probably look for something else. However, I am just a guy with a project vehicle, and these have been fantastic for me. Get started by watching some YouTube videos that demonstrate how to use each of the clamps (and for what) and then getting to work. They save a small amount of time but a great deal of aggravation.
I've been using colorful language while attempting to use channel locks to deal with cursed hose clamps that auto designers seem devil-possessed to place in increasingly inconvenient places. These tools are a gift from God. The best part is that they stay compressed when you release them. It was well worth the money to get rid of the knuckle-busting annoyance. They are, however, stiff right out of the box. To prepare them for use, they require a good machine oil and plenty of exercise. I also wish they came with a photo guide indicating which tool is appropriate for which clamps.
I bought it to use in a minivan that was overcrowded. The pliers and the box are both in good condition. The cable pliers, on the other hand, broke after only a few uses. With only a few pounds of pressure, the piece on the cable against which the pliers pull cakes off. They anticipated this and included a replacement in the kit as a precaution. It was not much better. Eventually, I was able to clamp my vise grips on the cable and get them to work. br>br> br>br>Amazon replaced the broken set, but they aren't optimistic about the cable pliers.
First and foremost, I appreciate the fact that these are packaged in a convenient carrying case. My husband has enough tools strewn about the garage that this at the very least helps to clear up the mess. Second, the long reach plier can save your life. I like how it locks once the hose clamp has been expanded. This makes it much easier to remove the clamp from the hose and remove the hose with your hands rather than having to manually hold the clamp open as you would with regular pliers. br>br>The rest of the pliers appear to be of high quality and are very sturdy. The option to remove the hose was an added bonus. Very useful for untangling hoses that have become tangled!.
These clamps have been a pain in the neck for as long as I can remember. The majority of my mechanic work is done at home. I was sick of using vice grips and the like on these clamps, so I bought this set, despite some of the negative reviews I'd read. br>br>Worth their weight in gold, let me tell you! br>br>These were extremely helpful when I recently replaced all of the coolant lines in my daughter's car!.
The long clamp tool for hard-to-reach places was the main reason I purchased this set. It clamped for about 5 seconds before breaking. It was a waste of money.
I was on the fence about buying it, but I'm glad I did. My kia's engine was swapped out, and we're glad we purchased these. Because, let's face it, no one's hands are that small, it made it a lot easier for the hose clamps in the time frame we had to work with. We'll definitely use this to save time fighting those pesky hose clamps in tight spaces with regular pliars.
