Selected User Reviews For IRWIN VISE-GRIP Locking Pliers, V-Jaw, 12-Inch (2078112) , Blue
I bought these a few days ago, along with a pair of Channel Lock and Knipex Cobra pliers of similar size, which I'm returning. I prefer the Irwin Vice Grip pliers after using all three for a few days doing bathroom renovations, including plumbing and other work, including replacing a gas water heater. They have less play than the other pliers and grip exceptionally well, even when doing things like pulling out small finishing nails that require the use of the pliers' very tip. Nothing against the other pliers, but I prefer the Irwins the most, regardless of price. The Knipex has a lot of good reviews, but I'm much more comfortable and faster with the Irwins. Some people, I believe, are buying the brand, but to each his or her own. By the way, the Channel Locks performed admirably. I'd put Irwin first, Channel Lock second, and Knipex third, all of which are excellent.
They're all there. Forget about the tool brand you used to trust. Dewalt, Stanley, and Craftsman are all names that come to mind when thinking of power tools. When it comes to hand tools, IRWIN has quickly become my go-to brand. While I do not believe they have a large enough selection of tools to completely replace all of my hand tools, I believe this will change in the near future. Despite their long history as tool innovators, they aren't the most well-known brand; perhaps they should be. They are now owned by Stanely Black, the original creators of the iconic "vice grip. " Decker. Perhaps this is what they require in order to receive the recognition they so richly deserve. br>The vice grip locking pliers are an excellent piece of equipment. They are extremely easy to use, dependable, and well-designed. I have them in almost every size imaginable: 6, 8, 10, and 12"! They also make a variety of other hand tools. Strippers, saws, fantastic clamps, squares, and needle nose pliers are just a few of the tools you'll need. IRWiN is a safe bet.
Since getting these pliers, I haven't used my channel locks. It turned out to be a wise investment.
br>These Irvin vice-grip v-neck v-neck v-neck v-neck v-neck v-neck v- Irvin jaw pliers are the most up-to-date and genuine Irvin products available. br>I find them to be far superior to the traditional channel lock pliers.
For any job, exceptional. This is a fantastic alternative to the popular German-made pliers. br>br>By only applying downward pressure to these pliers, they form a group. I used these for everything from carrying metal cut from oxy-acetylene to carrying metal cut from oxy-acetylene to carrying metal cut Inner tie rods must be removed and reinstalled. Add a cheater bar to the mix. BOOM! torque in a flash.
I'm glad I purchased this tool; hopefully, I'll never require another set of large pliers.
I was fed up with fiddling with my old channel locks. This product locks the size you need to grip and hold a pipe, and the teeth on this product grip the pipe better as well.
Keeps its position. It does not sag. So you might wonder why I'd ever require something so large.
1. Any size fitting will give you a lot of touqe.
2. Without this tool, you will never be able to replace the toilet flapper housing. Fits a nut with a diameter of three inches. Plumbers will love it.
