The total weight of all of them is less than a pound since they are smaller than hockey pucks
Basically, I do not own a e36, but I have an e90 and a f87 that I use these for. Although I am not 100 percent certain, I believe these are compatible with most BMW models after 2004. As I keep a set of anodized aluminum pads in every car, I also have a set of anodizing aluminum pads. Thank you for your interest. I apologize that I cannot give you more specific information. It would be best to simply measure the pads on your E36 before comparing them with this information.

In this case, contact is too shallow to hold the undercarriage, so if you lift the car, the load will be on the plastic guide rails of the jack mount points, not on the base.
Unlike what was expected, the rubber is soft and not solid like a plastic-rubber combination. This is a fine price for the product. It will require a little guiding for the jack, pad, and the vehicle mounting point, though. The rubber seems to have kept its shape when loaded, and I only used it once. Hopefully, everything will work out. In either case, it is better than doing Using my jacks, I jacked up both vehicles and used the BMW pads to remove the chips. There's nothing too expensive about buying new ones, but the aesthetics are a little tricky (assuming the mount stays on your device).
In the event that you ever take your BMW to a shop that does not know BMWs, these stop the lift points on your BMW from being crushed. They're worth the investment just to keep in your trunk in case something happens. The set of 4 I ordered was not special, it was merely the cheapest set of 4 with Prime Shipping at the time I ordered it.
The pads have so far worked well - better than metal pads on BMW Jacks. Plastic hardens into these items, they are reliable and strong. You need to exercise caution- It's still possible for them to permanently damage your BMW Jack point if positioned incorrectly. The alignments do require a level of care and precision (as with all BMW products).
Whether they are mounted on a jack or a jack stand, the plastic jack points dig into the rubber pads (damaging the jack points). The aluminum ones are on their way to me.
Although it is smaller than I expected, it is sure how long it will last given that I have used it once and the rubber looks like it can withstand some abuse. The plastic holder holds the jack, but I'd rather put this under it than keep using.
It was my expectation that the material would be harder. Despite their ease of deformation, they perform well.
