A jack stand with a higher tonnage will be more stable, and it will provide a better lifting range in many cases as well. Additionally, you should know the minimum lifting height the vehicle will need but this is more a function of the jack rather than the stand. Any good jack will lift high enough for a 3 ton stand unless it's on a lifted vehicle (SUV or truck). If you're planning on driving a regular sized car or a small crossover, I'd recommend the 3 ton model. You should keep in mind that 3 tons represents the weight of a pair of stands, not one

It is an extremely serious safety concern, which makes these stands unacceptable (even though the quality of the welds Both sets of stands can be seen in the images.
Great Amazon service as usual. However, Amazon needs to carefully examine the quality of these stands, especially in light of safety concerns.
an item that was used, but it was the wrong model as well. I was sent model 412002 regardless of the product information clearly indicating model 41202.
I believe Amazon should still break out the reviews by size. It seems that the issues faced by some versions do not affect others when they are grouped together. I have two sets of (4) 12 ton and I have yet to be killed by one. There are three of these things and each weighs about 30 pounds. Although, not all the welds look like stacks of dimes, I don't see any issues, cracks, or other hidden things due to I like how it is smooth to operate and how sturdy the clamps are. There is no apparent problem with the teeth, all of them point out the same way.
These are a great deal for the price! An attractive gauge of steel is used on the base Solid and thick, but not so heavy as to be difficult to handle. There is even painting and lovely gloss to it. However, the locking mechanism is a bit cumbersome, and I would like for it to feel a little more "positive". In any case, I have placed weight on these, and it appears that they are securely locked enough that I felt safe crawling under my truck when it was You should also be aware that the saddle surface area may dimple any flat area of your car frame (mine is being used to elevate an old pick-up with I used these for a vehicle that was going into long term storage and I had to protect the frame, which was in the top of the saddle (I laid a heavy piece of angled steel across the top). I have only used them on concrete and they seem to be My favorite thing about these is that they aren't "top of the line," but are perfect for DIY'ers like me. My second pair of shoes ended up being much more comfortable.
A 65 Ford Mustang was given to me as a gift and I had to work under it so I needed jack stands. of sufficient strength so I wouldn't be thrown, or my stuff smashed on the ground. It took me four to buy these. Each weighs 2 tons. It was raised using a hydraulic jack, and there was one of these placed under each wheel area, allowing me to lower I was amazed at how sturdy it was! It weighs nothing near 8 tons, but these supports have a capacity of 2 tons each, more than sufficient to support the entirety of the Mustang.
I creep around under it on my creeper without a care in the world that it might tumble Unless the car is on jack stands like these. I wouldn't work under it unless it has a jack stand In my case, they are more than enough to do the job.
Heavy duty steel construction, and easy to operate at the same time.
A set of 6T stands has been ordered. My way of giving the benefit of the doubt is to give the option of giving the benefit of the doubt, but I have the same issue as many here regarding the bent supports. As for my vehicle or anything else, I will not have any trust in these supports or me being under them. In this case, I'm returning the product and replacing it with another.
All in all, they prove to be quite useful for. . . This stand does a good job of supporting my Camry.
I am not sure why some people seem to dislike this product. There is no problem with them. In my opinion, the welds are fine and they are powder coated to keep them from rusting. Although the lock needs to be lubricated to ensure it does not rust. They are not troublesome for supporting my Camry that is missing Stability of the car is excellent. I shaked the car a lot and it remained rock steady. I had to go almost to the limits of my jack because they were a bit high on the lowest setting, but on the other hand, I don't think that may As a whole, they are quite good for the price and should be able to handle either large sedans or small SUVs without any problems.
They are very nice looking. The constitution is far superior to those of those from other brands in the same It took me no time to receive them. In comparison to the 12ton stands, I have a 3ton stand that looks like a kids' toy.
