Questions & Answers

A round base is shown attached to the bowtie in the pictures. Is there a round base attached to these?

Furthermore, the foot pad is not separate from the rest of the foot rest. Any Lippert or 3rd party part number you know of for a round foot pad that will attach to a 30" bowtie foot would be greatly appreciated.

What do you have to do with Do they have to be mounted to be set up and used?

It is not necessary to permanently mount them since I am using them without mounting them. In the future, yes, but for now, I prefer to set things up intelligently so that I am able to use them without fixed

Is the bolt that adjusts the height of the jack of any particular size?

Thanks for reaching out to Lippert Components, Danielle. I appreciate the feedback. Three-eighths of an inch is the bolt size for this jack The square root of 16 x 1 is I appreciate your kind words!

In your opinion, how wide is the upper fork or arm? How far apart are the bolt holes? The bolt holes on my current bracket are 2" apart and 2 3/8" wide. What should I change?

There is no change in the pattern of bolts used in the original jack stands

Served as a reference
3/5

There are missing parts. There was no instruction in the box and it appeared to be used. There were bolts all over the place in the bag. The bag was clearly torn open and bolts were scattered everywhere. It appears there are only 3 bolts, and there are four holes, so it should have four bolts. Additionally, there was no "supplied handle" to use with the Jack. In summary, I am told if I do not use the original handle, which I do not have, the warranty will be void. There is a possibility that the warranty was already voided because it seems like the product is already used. Returning this item is the best choice.

The Lippert 285344 30" Scissor Jack is made of steel
5/5

It's a no-brainer This scissor jack is a good, normal, and sturdy one As far as I'm concerned, it does the trick. According to its specifications, it stops its up/down motion. The device does not help much with lateral movement (as is also to be The circle-shaped mount plate is perfect for mounting at a 45-degree angle, since it allows me to mount it that way. While it gives a slight advantage to the lateral stability of the trailer, the main reason I did that was to make sure that when the jack is retracted, the end won't stick out. When you're in a tight spot, that's one thing you don't have to worry about. i did not need to worry about extra hardware since they were mounted directly on my i- The RV manufacturer should have used a beam rather than the awful location There is a bumper sticker on the car. Because the tires are low-profile now, if a bad road causes the tail to drag on the ground, the bumper will hit the ground before these. In spite of the fact that they are 30", they will contact the ground long before they fully extend (which is what you want), but I still use these As soon as the pilot hole was drilled, I used a 11/32" drill bit for the final hole and the supplied self-tapping screws The bolts went in smoothly. Between the steering bolts, and my SteadyFast stabilizers (which I left from my first trailer), I have had to drill 32 holes into RV I-beams. For this, you will need 24 beams (eight for this and 24 for the SteadyFast). A pilot hole can make or break your project It's not to be missed!.

It is easy to install and has a good price
5/5

I found this price to be much better than what I could find at my local grocery store, There is nothing like a bit of grinding to get the better results.

The trailer has scissor jacks that are stock on the 2020 Forest River trailer
5/5

There is something wrong with the jacks that came with the trailer. They do not seem to be smooth at all and budge In the end, the Lippert jacks were smoother and stronger, so when the original broke after the warranty expired, I replaced both. The Lippert jacks are smoother and seem to be slightly more durable. It is a great price considering that two items are included. I will replace the rear jacks with the same ones. Comparing the jacks to the stock ones, I am extremely happy with the results.

I bent for the very first time! The jacks are not designed to level anything, they are merely stabilization jacks, but if we use them to strength the RV, we won't even be able to do it because they are I had a problem using the new jack on my trailer the first time around
3/5

The trailer slipped off the blocks on one side and the "stabilizing jack" folded up like a pretzel that should not happen if they had been designed correctly.

Alignment of the lines is poor
3/5

It was impossible to align the location of the holes. When brackets' bolts were tightened up, the jack was not perpendicular to the frame and would not close all the way. I loosened the bolts to align holes, but when they were tightened up, the jack would not close all the way. The object has been returned to its original position.

This is one of the best companies to do this
5/5

They have been doing it for many years, and they don't just make RV parts. In order for them to succeed, they train their customer service team to be a solution to your problems, not be the problem themselves. While anyone can make the parts Lippert manufactures, not everyone stands behind the products they make as Lippert does.

Use it on your riding lawnmower to get the most out of it
5/5

Since we have had a lot of rain this season, my riding lawnmower's belt keeps coming off because some of the weeds are trees. I pull my lawnmower out, jack up the mower, and reinsert the belt in place. I did not have to take it to a shop or wait for a repairman to come to my house to put it back on, which saved me valuable time. Since we had heavy rains this spring, I spent some time waiting for the repairman, and that inspired me to look into getting this so that I could keep up with the mowing.
