Almost certainly not. Depending on how hard it rained and how dirty your car was to begin with, it may or may not have removed all of the dust/dirt/sand, and if your car sat for a long time after rain, new dust/dirt/sand may have blown onto and stuck to the car. I wouldn't take the chance of ruining the paint.
Hello, and thank you for asking such a good question! br>Since there isn't much that sticks to silicone, the blade can be rinsed off and everything will be fine. If you're especially energized, use soap and water. br>br>If you really want to make it sanitary, you can use a dishwasher and the hot water that results. The hollow handle on this model may pick up a little water from the high-pressure spray, but it will be fine; in the worst-case scenario, you may have to shake out a little water. Keep it on the top rack if you want to be extra cautious. The silicone blade can withstand temperatures of well over 400 degrees Fahrenheit, but the ABS handle can only withstand a few hundred. It will be heated by a lot more than a standard dishwasher. br>Thank you for contacting us!
Thank you so much to those who responded on our behalf while I was apparently lost in the midst of the holiday chaos. Thank you for your kind words as well! br>As previously stated, the silicone blade will make noise due to the dry surface it is leaving behind. The only way to completely stop it would be if there was any fluid left behind to act as a lubricant. We carefully select the silicone durometer that offers the best balance of performance and "quietness." We actually have it set to a low temperature (around 40 degrees) on this model. It would not conform to curves as well if we made it any softer. br>I agree that the angle makes a difference as well. br>To all of you, a very happy New Year! br>Only one time through

This is an excellent product if you enjoy caring for your car, washing windows at home, or cleaning the shower walls after a shower. My 20-year-old waterblade is shown in the third photo. My 1999 Toyota Solara is depicted in the final two photos. This waterblade is one of the main reasons why it appears to be new. I'm overjoyed that I've discovered a new one. This one isn't quite as stiff as the old one (but it will go around curves more smoothly if you wipe the water off your car). It's easy to wash and DRY your car, and you won't need as many microfiber towels for touch-ups. Rather than chamois, I use microfiber. If you're a car enthusiast like me, you'll want to give this a try. Doesn't my 1999 Solara appear to be brand new? It was brand new when I bought it in 1999, and I've had several offers to buy it, but it isn't for sale, lol. My waterblade, which is 20 years old, is still in excellent condition.
If I had another squeegee with a handle, I would use it to dry my car after a wash instead of this one. Following the reviews and learning about the R, I was very optimistic. Although there is a D behind the design of this squeegee, the handle is at an awkward angle for drying the car, and it almost requires two hands to handle it properly. I had high expectations for this product, but it has not lived up to my expectations.
This was originally purchased to remove water from my car before using a cloth to dry it. It has proven to be extremely effective for me. The rubber "grips" the car almost too well, and it makes a lot of noise. I was wondering if the paint was being abused? Due to its extreme grip on the surface, it was even difficult to swish it over the car as it dragged. Instead of using it on my car, I now use it to squeegee water off my shower glass. It ensures that the glass is completely free of drops! It's perfect for this, but not so much for my car.
Because it worked so well, I've been using my husband's Waterblade, which he uses for his antique cars. I jumped at the chance to get the new and improved version when I saw it on Amazon. All I need is a bucket of soapy water and THIS squeegee to clean. When I use the Waterblade on a wet window, I don't have to rinse or dry it. I kept thinking my windows were open because they were so clean.
This event was a letdown. It has an excessive grip on the surface and emits a loud, irritating sound. My old squeegee with the flat edge still works better. If all you're doing is cleaning your windows, it might be fine.
I also used it to reach the middle of the hood and roof sections to clear snow so I wouldn't blind myself or others while driving. I'm looking forward to my first driveway wash!.
It works great on our SUV, which has a lot of flat surfaces, but not so much on our Porsche, which has a lot of curves. I think it'd be fantastic if the handle was flexible, allowing you to bend the silicon blade to fit around curves. Overall, a useful tool to have in your vehicle. wash- kit.
