Pulling the flywheel off a 1986 Mercury 150 HP Black Max with this tool. That's so awesome! The job was made a lot easier because of this!.
The gift was for a friend who needed to pull the flywheel from his Mercury outboard motor as part of his maintenance. In his words, he put it on and gave it a partial turn, and the flywheel came off. In this regard, I am very pleased that my purchase of a wheel puller met his need, since I wasn't sure how the wheel puller I had would work.
My magnet was required to remove the washer under the nut, but it got the job done. There was a washer under the nut that needed to be removed however, I got this done easily. The money is worth it.
The user is not given instructions on how to use the software. I realized I had not taken the time to do this work by the time I figured it out. This also affected the products associated with this package deal. No help was available from the customer service department as a result.
I believe it did. A friend of mine might find this tool useful in the future. I had no trouble using it.
I was very satisfied with the result. The mariner 150 1999 was fitted with this part. I really liked it! You can find plenty of YouTube videos to enable you to set it up, but no instructions. It was easy to remove the flywheel from my 1999 Mariner 150!.
Pulling the flywheel off my 75 hp Mariner with this tool was easy and effective. It takes less than 8 minutes. The day after I received the package in the mail, I had the flywheel removed. There were several types of pullers I had tried before, but they did not work. During that process, I broke even a heavy duty puller with three fingers.
It is a high quality tool at a reasonable price. This weekend I will be able to put my pontoon boat back in the water again! Here are the steps I took to remove the flywheel on my Mercury outboard so that I could replace the stator.
