Designed to cut tailpipes and exhaust pipes with diameters ranging between 3/4-inch and 3-1/4-inch (19mm-83mm) on and off the vehicle, this Engine Exhaust Tool is built for both on and off-car use.

A thicker or thinner layer would make more or less sense. We should be fine as long as we are talking exhaust tubing. The answer is probably no, if we are discussing a more structural issue.

I like the way it cuts

The muffler on my WRX has been replaced with a better one after I bought a new exhaust. This cut very well. Keep in mind. It is also possible to cut more easily using cutting fluid.

The cut is only good for one

I don't know. As there is no security controlling the links to each post, this will fall apart after a while, and you will spend more time answering questions than writing posts. When I used this, I became so frustrated that I took my entire exhaust off my truck and used a grinder to cut the necessary holes.

The first time I used it, a piece fell apart

When used for the first time, this tool broke upon use. Piping with a diameter of 5 inches is not stainless steel. Such a waste of time and money! This is not a good one, you are better off spending the extra couple of dollars on one that is.

It fell apart on the first use. This is the first time I have used this tool, and after using it for only a few seconds the tool fell apart on me and is not functional!.

This is junk

It lasted maybe two cuts with my before the links separated, allowing the saw blades to wander all over the place and ruining the thing. I tried to pin the links back together with pliers but that didn't work since they immediately separated again after a new cut was made.

I had not expected to find what I had been No use at all for it

It had a cheap look to it. Since I didn't think it would cut through stainless steel exhaust, I returned it to the company without even looking at it.
