This tool was highly rated in a "round up" of the top tools for 2020 and I decided to purchase it. That was a bad decision on my part. I think this tool has a nice screen and reads codes well, but I think it is a bit limited in that it only links to 1 VIN number and then you must purchase keys in it to add more. In what sense? As an added feature, it is said to have an app that can It seems to me that that is an oversell as well. This Bluetooth reader works great with the Torque app, so I'll just keep using it. My previous bluetooth reader was a $10 ELM unit. The price is way too high for the quality of this product.
I take my car to a mechanic to have my oil changed, I'm not an experienced auto mechanic. My 2002 Miata's check engine light started flashing and would not go away, so I thought I would do some research and ended up purchasing It was easy for me to connect it and see the results, even from scratch. Based on the results of the test, I discovered the rear oxygen sensor was damaged. However, I had no idea about this) and about how much it should cost.
We had just moved to this city, so I took it to a local shop without telling them what I'd learned or the advice I'd received. The only thing I noticed was that my check engine light was on. I was told that I had a much more serious problem and it would cost a lot more cash, but they urged me to leave it because it could cause an engine failure My car was taken to two more places in town for diagnosis and both of them gave me the same answer, and both gave me the same quote for repair. One of them provided me with a car to drive to work and back while they worked on the car and Again, it's very simple, just follow the instructions, plug it in and read the results. There's also a lot of information provided. In spite of the scanner only being active when the engine is running and the phone is connected, the information is saved on the phone for later review. As it's already paid for itself, I rate it a 5 out of 5.
Having a general idea of what's wrong with your car is always a good idea because then a mechanic won't be able to BS you with overpriced repairs.
The product is just as described. With this instrument, you can monitor all parameters of the engine and its components. It is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi based Access to history and previous tests is made easy with the use of Wi-Fi. The mechanic must be kept on his toes to prevent becoming complacent and verifying his version of the issue. It is compatible with 1996 model year and newer Whenever you want to know what's going on with your car's engine, check this out first. It will save you a few trips to the shop (and lots of money). This is a highly recommended book.
Unlike gearheads, I do not own a car. It was convenient to order online a repair manual, read online how to fix the problem, and then go to a store and buy the parts. My savings was about 1200. I replaced the fuel pump assembly and installed an evap system. A solenoid was installed to resolve the issue, and now my truck is running better than ever. Don't wait! Buy it now!.
While this program has many features I won't use, it also has plenty of features I will We have a bit of a problem. In the end, I was able to use it to diagnose and fix a problem with my stepfather's 2012 2500 Chevy truck. In addition to paying for itself, the shop billed us for it. I'm too lazy to read the instructions, so I don't even bother.
This is a simple device that plugged in and worked on my Ford. I was given a list of repairs suggested by the app As soon as I attempted to connect it to my second vehicle, an Infinity, the VIN had to be entered manually. It is not known whether it is a brand issue or if there is only one vehicle at a time being stored.
I am very pleased with the scanner. The ease of use has already paid off. The mechanic was trying to sell me extra work for an issue that wasn't there. Scan turned out to be good. I pulled out my scanner and scanned.
