The original purpose I purchased this item was to prevent my truck's check engine light from coming on. My issue was checked out by many mechanics who wanted hundreds of dollars just to look at it. In terms of the part itself, it only cost a few bucks and was worth the purchase. There is only one con to this device - it is bulky. However, when I compare it to the benefits I receive from using it, the bulkiness is not so crucial.

Having spent a few hours searching for a good scanner I decided to go with that one. A FOXWELL turned out to be the best choice for me. On average, they had a plus (+) rating. My 2000 XJ was cleared of the EVA code right out of the box after installing this kit. When I messed with some of the other features on it, I found the live data to work well. All in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase, and highly recommend it. I did not have to set up or update the scanner after it came out of the box.

The program uses so much of my time and saves me so much I really like the way it's laid out and how easy it is Ideally, I would be able to update my software by connecting my iPhone to my computer, but I will figure out how to do it. While I am not sure whether it works with diesel engines, I am positive I will find out soon.
