I am shocked at how important this scanner is these days, just like having a cellphone. In order to pass emissions, I needed to pass a test. There was no attempt to fix it correctly by anyone. Passing bootleg required me to pay an additional fee. His 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche had been coded as mad sensor when he passed away. Using this handy device will save you a lot of time and money if you have a fairly regular check engine light on your car like my own. The device has simple instructions for diagnosing any problems with your car or dashboard lights on. I use this all the time (and I let my friends use it too). It can be plugged right into your car and has simple instructions to diagnose any problems your car is experiencing. Following the diagnostics, you are given the error codes that your car had produced, and you can then use the helpful booklet to decode the error codes and identify the problem that caused them. As soon as you have the code, you will probably have to try some research to find out precisely what may be wrong, because some of the descriptions may be brief or beyond my knowledge of automobiles, but there is plenty of online information that can help you out. I was able to diagnose my car and fix it without having to take it to a mechanic, who often charges a fee just to run this EXACT diagnostic test! I also took advantage of this device to reset the lights on my car to see if the problem persisted. The overall conclusion is that this is an excellent piece of equipment for a very reasonable price. The price of this tool is already more than it costs with shipping included. The vehicles on which I diagnosed codes are three different models. vehicle was a 98 Mazda B2500 that came back with 3 codes, all related to the CO2 I did note that the reader just barely plugged into the obd2 connector on the Mazda, but it was not an issue on the other vehicles. ** The second vehicle I obtained turned out to have a bad oxygen sensor, an 02 Lexus LS430. As can be seen in the photos below, the reader will read two separate digits below the DTC, in my case I received five The number in the first place identifies the order in which the codes were set, and the second number shows how many codes there are. The reader identified DTC P1683, which is the manufacture code for - as can be seen in the following image. There is a need to reflash the PCM. This code is also known as P0327. There is a fault that occurs on knock sensor bank 1 due to faulty connectors or harnesses. While using the scanner on Honda and Toyota vehicles, it will appear as if it cannot communicate with the vehicle. Please be patient and wait a few minutes for the scanner to read these applications. I like how it is easy You can use this procedure as follows
1_ plug into obd2 connector
2_ then turn ignition on (just like if you were to start the car)
3_ press scroll button and (1) - - The dtc display will appear, press enter to read the codes
4_ to clear it. Using Enter and the scroll key, scroll until "Erase" appears. You will then be asked which option you want. I plugged the reader into my obd-2 port and it works just as it did when it was first delivered. Some of the photos may be blurry since they were shot with a flash on a smartphone at night. There is no way you could go wrong with the purchase of this item.

I really like how it works! For myself and for my friends, I've used it a number of times. The treatment does not cure the disease You sometimes get an error code that doesn't specify what's really wrong, and by that I mean you can get an error code that doesn't tell you what's I had to take my GMC to a dealer because of an error code that suggested it had a transmission problem. This product is super easy to use and I love it.
