It will give you the battery status at that moment. You can either charge the battery beforehand or not. It is advisable to fully charge the battery before test if it has been unused for some time. Test it over several days to see if the battery can hold its charge. In some cases, a battery may need to be replaced after it loses its charge after being left overnight or for less than a few days.

It has been less than 4 months since I bought it and now it is dead. The screen started blinking an empty battery two days ago, which is typical of devices that have been going great until then. It had been 3/4 full the night before, and there was nothing plugged in to it that night. During this process, I unplugged everything and checked it one by one. Upon inspection, the solar panel appeared in good condition and the battery indicated that it had almost fully charged. All of the connections were made again and everything was okay for a few hours before the problem recurred. For now, I will keep it at 2 stars until the company replies to my request for a new part. Because I was contacted by ALLPOWERS and they sent an email saying they would send out a replacement, I have changed this from 2 to 3. In the event that the replacement arrives and is connected to my system, I will update the document again. Now that the new part has been received and I have a functioning system again, I would like to thank you. The working item and customer support provided by ALLPOWERS have been updated in my review.
I received the battery cca load tester in a timely fashion, and it worked flawlessly. It was easy to read and understand the instructions, with the exception of When I was asked to scroll up or down to choose the "desired number," the instructions failed to provide any clear indication of what number I was supposed to select. On my own, I soon realized that I had to put in the Cold Cranking Amps as it was listed on the battery's top. As soon as I understood that and entered the number, I was up Two of the five marine batteries that I needed to test were not able to pass the test even though they were fully charged and measured My remaining three batteries can now be used with confidence, since the last three batteries will be properly disposed of. With a LCD display, the eOUTIL 12V Car Battery Tester, Auto Battery Load Analyzer is highly recommended by me.
The score I got was When I measured the voltage in the morning, after the car had been parked in the driveway overnight, I found 76 volts. To be clear, I measured a 500 CCA battery that Honda had replaced after my 410 CCA battery was about to give up the ghost after just two years of usage. My measurements for this thing were in the range of 476 CCA left after a few tests. In February, a new battery was installed. I have had this car for 16 months and I think the battery was just low and needed a simple recharge. As I was getting my dash lights flashing along to the rhythm of the starter, I believe the battery was simply low.
It's now easier for me to have my pickup truck's battery tested at your location rather than at Auto Zone. As well as volts and cold cranking amps, this meter measures cold cranking amps. Besides testing the battery in my whole house generator, I also check the power supply. The generator will power the device now instead of the electricity cutting out and I have to hope that the generator will start. There are no batteries in this device, it gets its power directly.
The addition of this tool to my tool kit was a big plus. It does not have an instruction manual though, so it would be difficult to use for those who did not know how. It definitely makes sense for the backyard mechanic to invest in this tool.
According to my tests, it seems to work correctly. If I failed to start my engine for a couple of days, I had a battery that would turn slowly.
