Oh my gosh! I must say, it's hard to even trust a review because some may be so contrary to other reviews it's hard to tell whether someone is lying or if there's just a mistake in usage or a defect in the product. Anyway, let me tell you that. The yamaha was working on the waverunner and I was about to pull the stator out and replace it when I decided to test the battery first (even though it was new). It tested only 46% charged and said it was at 12. 6 volts when I started the work. There are 17 volts in the battery. Normally, I would have said this battery was good at 12 volts. My battery only contains 17 volts, but I have another one I've had on the charger for like a month lol, it serves as a backup battery just in case. It said 12 when I tested it. There are 85 volts available. Furthermore, it said it was 100% charged as well as it's SOH was 100%. The product is a piece of looked at a battery when I received this item and it said to replace it. Using the battery analyzer at the auto parts store, they determined the battery to be fine. Curious, I hooked it up to another battery that was working fine and it said to replace the whole lot. At my store, each battery was the same and I was instructed to replace each one. It is a piece of Chinese junk with no value. Save your money and do not waste it.

This product does exactly what it is advertised to do. The battery on my boat was dead and I was about to lose $180. A good thing to keep out in the garage so you will know what the problem is if you think the battery has failed rather than another issue. With this load tester, I can load test a battery more efficiently than with my old battery tester, which had a coil that heated up when we loaded it up. While it takes a bit longer to test, it stays cool and displays all the information on a screen that is easy to read.

Despite being tested at an auto part store as being good, the battery appeared to be 6 V when the vehicle's owner brought it in. The discrepancy is not clear. I guess if you want a cheap battery tester, this is the one you should purchase. Instructions can be somewhat confusing, but if you're looking for a cheap battery tester, this is the one.

For the price, it's a no brainer. Within a few minutes, I was able to see that my daughter's crank amps were 45% lower than the battery's rating. The joy of my life is back on the road after I took it in for a replacement. Using this device, I identified that my battery was no longer turning over and operating normally.
