In fact, I left it plugged into my 2008 Lincoln MKX for a few days because it provided me with so much useful information. During that time, I was able to use my keyless entry (i. e. , the remote key) started behaving strangely - Working on and off, and at various distances from the car - and eventually gave up. I tried a variety of keys, changed key batteries, and so on before scheduling a service appointment with the dealer. I never made a connection between the OBD device and the locks until I removed it for another reason, at which point the keyless entry and remote start functioned again. I've tried it a few times with the same result; I've googled it and can't find any evidence of this happening, so it could just be me. I just wanted to give you a heads up. up - It's a good device, and I'd buy it again, but I wanted to clear up the mystery for anyone else who might be having the same problem.

I was looking for a used car and wanted to make sure as many things as possible were in order. I can fix things, but I'm not a professional mechanic. Spending a lot of money on a pro-athlete Scanner for level codes appeared to be a joke. In addition, I wanted to be able to save and export the results. This appeared to be the most viable alternative. br>br>Both the packaging and the construction quality are satisfactory. The person who wrote all of the material included (including the app) didn't speak English as a first language, but it's simple enough to understand. br>br>This plugs right into your vehicle's OBDII port and receives power once the key is turned on. The procedure for connecting is straightforward. I used an iPhone, but I don't think it would be much more difficult on an Android device; once it detects your car, you can change its name in the app, and it will know which one it is. br>br>Excellent readings with no ambiguity. All of these things appeared to be true. On a couple of the vehicles I tested, it was able to detect and clear codes. I could then save a photo of all the diagnostics to my phone's photos and/or email them to myself directly from the app. This device is a great value for the money. br>br> Even if you don't intend to do any work yourself, when the check engine light comes on, inspect it before paying a shop a lot of money. At the very least, you'll be more knowledgeable.

It's just a minor annoyance that I believe the developer should address. I'm a do-it-yourself kind of guy. br>This tool is effective. I've tried others, but this is by far the easiest and most precise, and I've had it in my 2015 WRX for over two months. br>Reading the battery's cold cranking state takes an eternity. When the engine is turned off, it continues to check but returns no results. br>I came across a reviewer (D Lynn) while reading the reviews. He wrote about a problem he was having, which was identical to mine. When I put my key in the ignition and turned it on, my car would randomly shut down. The automobile would simply stop working. I mean, turn off all of the power as if the car were stuck. I believe the autophix has a flaw or a bug. br>Last night, when my car broke down around 9 p. m. , I removed it. 15 pm. The process of rebooting took longer than usual. I initially assumed it was the battery, so I spent more than $200 on a new battery. Then I assumed the 15' temperature was due to the winter chill. It wasn't the battery, and it wasn't the bitterly cold winter mornings. Sitting in the car, thinking back to when it first began and remembering when it began to happen after the obd11 installation. When I got out of the car, the key fob began to work again, and the car started up normally. It's best for older vehicles, in my opinion.

I just got this today and immediately plugged it in and went for a drive; the instructions are very clear, and I had no issues connecting with the app. I believe it reveals a lot about the vehicle and allows you to see whether or not things pass. I also like that the reports can be saved, so I did so while driving at 60 mph and another while idling. I'll probably post an update if something goes wrong, but so far everything has gone well! br>br>Update 7/19/2021: It's still there and it's still working!.

My car's engine light came on after I recently started learning how to fix it myself. That is why I decided to purchase it. This scanner quickly identified the code and informed me that my oxygen sensor needed to be replaced. It's well-constructed, so it appears to be a long-lasting device. It's as easy as plugging in a light bulb. It's fun to play, and it gets the job done. It performs admirably for such a small device. This is something I'd recommend to any of my friends who are interested in doing their own car repairs.

But I didn't want to have to walk out with the person and awkwardly stand there waiting for them to get the code, only to have them turn the screen to me and show me only 1 of 5 options before asking if I wanted to take a picture. br>br> After doing some research, I came across this OBD2. It was already giving me live readings and pulling all the codes when I threw it on the car. I believe it is a fantastic purchase. br>br> If I had to make any changes, it would be to the app's design. It has a very dated feel to it. It looks like it was created in 2005, lmao. All of the information is present and correct, but if they can correct that, they will have a budget award winner on their hands. br>br>In addition, mine included a scratch-off ticket! I was able to win $20 on it. As a result, there's a chance to get some of your money back!.

The product is not compatible with iOS. This should be avoided at all costs. "Product not supported on this device" appears every time I try to connect.
