The parts are a must if you want to fix Having the same problem many others have of not being able to compress the caliper back for putting on the new pads, I tried that as well. I googled the issue and found the reason for not being able to. A good set that comes with a variety of attachments for different types of brakes. The sound system was compatible with my Mazda CX9.

Harbor Freight's version had a $20 price tag. As I was working on my 2008 Mustang at the last corner, I bought a universal ratchet tool from a parts store and it was unbearable to try and compress the piston, it kept sliding out and rotating so slowly. After a couple days of trying, I gave up as I didn't know how many more steps I had to travel before the piston was As long as I had this before I called a mobile mechanic, I purchased it in the hope it would complete the job. This thing compressed the piston within five minutes after connecting the adapter to the piston. Using the other tool, I would never have been able to do it. A gold kit is recommended if your car has rotating caliper pistons on its rear brakes.

When changing the brake pads on an 11 year old Vibe, I used the tool to open the calipers without a hitch. It was much simpler and more straightforward than using a wrench. The use of clamps or other tools is necessary. I was confident it would be able to handle difficult assignments. Directions and instructions are extremely vague in the application guide.

When I opened the box, it stank like brake dust. They didn't even bother to clean it. The glove is still covered in brake dust finger prints. Regardless of who owned it, it served its owner well. It will be returned to me.

Although I had originally been concerned that the low price might mean that the tool would not last, it has proven to be a very reliable tool. I was able to store it very easily in the case since it worked as promised. My recommendation for this set is a definite yes.
