The metal should last a long time because it is thick.

You will be able to measure something using this gauge. As such, if your measurements are in any way close to those of this device, the friction material on your brake pads is worn far beyond what is considered acceptable by the DOT. The use of these would only be appropriate for light duty braking.
These are metal sheets that have been powder coated.

Basically, this is a go/no go gauge set. I like it This is 1. Using or dropping a heavy metal that is thick enough to prevent it from bending during use. The second paragraph. The powder coating requires a heavy hand (be aware if you are concerned about a few Replace the pads as needed)*3. On the gauges, you'll find good stamping. The bad news This is 1. To gain access to the nylon on the nylon locking nut, the bolt should be longer and a little longer.
The pad thickness measuring tool that I purchased was for the purpose of verifying whether my mechanic was telling the truth about how much life my brake pads still had left. This is a great (and inexpensive) tool to have if you are somewhat handy with cars, so that you can monitor your brake pads without having to take your car to the shop.
It carries out its functions as expected. There is only one problem with it, which is that it is difficult to see which gauge has what size. Additionally, the bolt that holds the gauges together is too short. The bolt supplied is a self locking nut and it only threads through a couple of times. So whenever you spread the gauges apart to select the size you need, eventually the bolt gets loose enough to.
When I received it, I immediately got to work with it. By using this tool, I am more confident than if I were to eyeball and guess. The screw is too short, as others have noted, it just barely makes it to the nylon ring in the nut. But it is well built and should last. Although I wouldn't recommend it, it's still a good book.
Ensures that disagreements do not occur. The color and thickness of the guides give the customer a sense of the brakes' thickness and you avoid arguments over whether or not they need brakes.
The plastic ones aren't worth the trouble, they wear out and become thin in time. Keep the metal on the table.
really like the material of this gauge, it feels sturdy and not flimsy in any way. As I perform maintenance on our vehicles, it's easy to check out when brake pads need to be replaced since it makes it super easy to measure.
Because of this, it is a little hard to read since the letters and numbers don't seem to be stamped hard enough. After scratching it in a little more, it looked like this.
