I have not used the product on cracks that are longer than 1 cm. As far as I know, I've only used it to crack starbursts. It still seems to work well.
I'm not sure if this can fix a crack, even a small one. But, it can fix chipped windshields that have starburst-like effects.
Neither of these things is appropriate. It is a too large clamp, and the wrong type of Safety glass is not found on phones.
It is possible for the liquid to be resealed, and UV light is the only way it is supposed to harden. The glass should still be re-usable after you have repaired a couple small cracks and chips in your windshield. I still had plenty left over after I finished fixing

My husband spent a lot of money on this product and I told him it was a complete waste. In any case, we had to replace the windshield so my husband decided to go ahead and try it anyway. It is impossible to believe how good this product is! I was able to barely see the crack because it filled in the crack so well. There was previously an extremely long and very visible crack in the glass. However, I can see only a very thin line that looks like a barely visible scratch now. It is definitely recommended however, make sure to follow the directions to the letter in order to achieve.
The solution absorbed the water and caused it almost to disappear, but at least it stopped the spread of the disease. It is difficult to find it if you don't know where it is. The windshield would have been replaced for $389 plus extras if Safelite had decided to change it whole. There is a windshield over the antenna. Before you are hosed by some glass outfit, give it a try.
The van I bought was caught behind a gravel truck when it was used. A few small chips can be seen both on the paint and on the windshield. Despite its small size, one of the chips on the windshield worried me quite a bit. The repair kit was purchased in the hope that it would at least prevent the crack from becoming larger. In the process of preparing to do the repair, I noticed that there were about a dozen tiny, tiny chips that were barely visible, but clearly felt. Having watched YouTube videos for inspiration, I set to work following the instructions carefully. To dry the paper, I used a paper towel I used a marker to circle these almost invisible marks across the inside of the glass, and then I marked them again on the outside of the glass so that I could clean the glass on the outside while still marking the chips. Starting with the largest chip, I set the device over it. A little trial and error is necessary, so having a second helper would be helpful. To take the instructions literally was my first mistake. Depending on the size of the chip, this suggests that you use 3 to 6 drops. Although my first thought was to choose 4, I realize now that I should have pushed the tip deep into the center and gently squeezed four So I could see the drops, I held it above the opening. The liquid never reached the bottom, so it never reached the bottom. As a result, threads collected it. When I realized that I had not been getting any out of the plunger (not realizing that there was no come out), I realized they could be treated as cracks are, so I took a dab of glue and put it on each mark and covered it with as soon as I removed the device, I realized my mistake and decided, considering the size of the chip, to use the same procedure as with other chips, placing a drop in the chip and covering it with a As soon as the strips had been in the full sun for the prescribed time, I began removing them and scraping the excess resin off each flaw marked. As long as the razor was held perpendicular to the surface, any excess could be easily removed. Upon completion, I checked from the inside to make sure that the labels were still on. In addition to the largest one, many had vanished from view. Following an intensive cleaning of both the inside and outside of the house, I am able to identify only one or two tiny spots that I may have overlooked and not In spite of making these tiny imperfections completely invisible, I am not convinced that this product would actually assist in protecting my glass from further damage if I had a chip or crack with serious consequences. The product seems to be working fine for my needs and budget (for now), but I would believe it'd be better to have it professionally repaired if it cracks or chips badly. My only reason for giving it 3 stars was that I do not feel my experience is a valid test for the needs of most users, as well as a problem with my application.
I grabbed the glue and realized it had leaking all over the package. More than half of the content has been deleted. This picture can be seen on the left, where the blue colored material appears to have dissolved since it was exposed to the liquid. In order to get rid of the smell, I had to wash my hands multiple times before wiping them. The leak has been reported to Amazon by a customer service representative. We are waiting for the merchant's response. Liquid glue leaks from the container because it is the fault of the manufacturer, not the merchant.
I applied the remaining glue on the relatively small and simple crack on the basis of the instructions, but it failed to fix it. However, I didn't see a result when I reapplied. It is still possible to see the entire crack, which is not too long in length. Anyway, I lost my money and had to go through the trouble of ordering, applying the glue, and not seeing any results. Not satisfied.
Overall, the product is a D+ This is an ing nightmare to use and to try. Our helper helped to get things working, but we still couldn't get anything to work. It was even done in the "professional" way, using grease to slide the suction cups and all that. The product is a total waste of money. It's either time to get your window fixed or it needs to be replaced. This is not worth the money.
I used it to repair a chip and crack on my windshield. It's not perfect, but it works. As I can still find it from a different angle if I try to look for it from different directions. My guess is that 90% of them have disappeared. A suggestion for improvement the plastic films need to be in a sealed bag instead of folded in with the instructions (I drop them all over when I open the instructions). Pressure tubes need to be flat to prevent pressure buildup. One star was deducted due to an uneven spot found on mine. I made a mistake which you may have been able to Don't overdo it with the pressure, a crack can get worse if you turn too hard. You should be able to check behind the glass as you turn, as long as there are no leaks or bubbles.
In order to prevent the , I made a plan to prevent it. I really like this. This was my main goal, and I think I was successful in preventing the cracks from spreading. It started out as a small chip that started pointing Around a half-inch of spread covered the entire area. According to the directions, I did everything exactly as specified. The repair was mostly complete, but there were a couple of tiny lines the width of a human hair, but otherwise most of the cracks were fixed, This kit will save you the headache and money of constructing a replacement windshield from scratch, which may leak or be installed improperly otherwise.
In my case, I had You had a total failure with your product. There was a slight ding on the door that had two small cracks coming I was surprised to find my cracks had grown longer after following the directions! Then I used the product according to the instructions for cracks and only got dried resin on my windshield in addition to still being able to see the cracks. Additionally, it says "make use of 3" We can swear "6 drops" are coming out, but we don't know how many they will be! You should go to a professional and have it done properly. You can avoid frustration if you avoid it!.
