Can you tell us whether this would withstand bolt fastening on a side cover of a motorcycle dating back to the early 1900's? A crack can be found near the ?

I think it's the best you're going to When setting up a bolt, do not tighten it too hard, if it's merely a fairing bolt.

How does this affect the water resistance of plastics?

Although I believe it will temporarily provide this service, it really isn't intended for this use.

Can this product be used to repair a leak in a joint of a 2 inch pvc pipe?

It is true. The exact same thing I had on my It filled the cracks well and dried quickly. I applied watery at first so that it filled the cracks and then when it began to harden I applied more for a permanent PVC gets hard as a rock

How will this work as a repair for plastic hose fitting threads on the outside?

It really works, and I was able to save tons of cash with it! Using this tub to attempt a DIY repair of some hairline cracks I found on my hot tub shell was a great idea
5/5

My initial reaction was to be skeptical, but I decided to go for it anyway. I am in awe of this stuff! Dabbing a small amount of it on the cracks, I mixed up a small quantity in a plastic container, stirred it as it thickened and let it set for a few minutes. During the course of a few minutes, it will thicken, as described in the instructions. 3) It became hard and bonded It is pretty much invisible because of the color of the shell. If you want this stuff to dry quickly, mix it outside or in an area with good ventilation. This stuff smells terrible before it dries, so be careful.

I was about to need to replace a pipe, but this prevented me from doing so
5/5

The story is funny, so you can laugh at it. On the day before Thanksgiving ten years ago, Sears installed a new dishwasher. But the installer failed to replace the water line with a new flex pipe. The installer came back and replaced the underlayment that had been soaked in water after my kitchen flooded. His process of cutting the drain line under the house caused the house to flood. It's not uncommon for dishwashers to leak. I found out last month when installing my own dishwasher. In the original design, this drain was positioned in the middle of a major floor joist. There was also rot due to the slow leak. Since the cut pipe was located in an incorrect location, it was going to take a long time to replace it. Plast-aid claims to work on ABS black and has a demo. After using sand paper and a razor to clean the pipe, I rinsed it with laquer thinner, tested it with some liquid to confirm it made the pipe sticky, then sprayed the liquid component on the pipe. Mix it until it was a bit runny and spread it evenly. Work it into a solid state as it gets more aggressive. The food became hard in about 15 minutes, so I waited another 15 minutes for good luck before running The pipe has been fixed. Enjoyed watching the game after returning the $30 in pipe supplies. A PART, A PIPE, OR WHATEVER YOU NEED TO REPAIR before you spend your money, have a look on There's no great loss of time or money with AID if it does not go well, but it saves a lot of time and money when it works, and more than likely,.

I cannot describe how amazing this is
5/5

It is amazing how good this is! As described, it worked even better than I had hoped. I tried numerous glues and none would bond to a plastic side rail in my wife's car. Not only did this product bond, but it also cured quickly to make the repair job so hard that it is unbreakable. The following updates have been made to the article I am in awe of this stuff! There is a leak in the pvc pipe of my swimming pool We turned off the pump , dried the leaking pipe, and applied the Plast-aid. This is a high-pressure pipe that flows from the 1hp pump to the filter, so I waited a little longer to make sure the bond was fully cured. Generally speaking, I would have to pay at least $125 to a pool company. We need to pay $600 to repair it. Using one application, I fixed it, saving me thousands of dollars. I am grateful for Plasti-Aid.

I would recommend running a test run to see if it works
5/5

In one of my Jacuzzi tubs, there were two 1/4-inch chips in the bottom. I bought this to repair the damage. Although the product did repair the chips, I would have approached the situation differently if I had known what I know now. In spite of how white the powder appears, it becomes cloudy and clear when it hardens. Even though I cleaned the chips as well as I could, there was some staining that I couldn't remove. Through the patches, you can see the stains. In my case, it definitely would have been a good idea to color Plast-aid with acrylic paint, as per the manufacturer's website. In addition, I recommend not using more than you absolutely need, as even small lumps can be difficult to sand down. However, the product worked, and the repairs have been held up for three months despite frequent tub use. A few small repairs can easily be accomplished with this bottle. The rest of the file is definitely being saved for future reference. There is a very strong smell as others have said. Like the nail varnish used in a salon, it smells like a stronger version of the acrylic nail polish. Once the product is dried, the smell goes away 100%. It doesn't take long for it to dry. Despite being upright once I had used the liquid bottle, I did notice that it emitted some odor for a while after I had fallen over in my toolbox. In general, I would recommend this product, but I would advise you to try a test run before proceeding with.

It is cracked
3/5

A total of 2 attempts have been made. One layer of plastic was added to the first crack half way through the thickness of the shell of the hot tub. (During the summer) I used a bandage for a few days, then cracked. When you do this next time, you should grind through the entire hot tub shell in a line of the crack, and then add layers of Plasti-aid until it is slightly higher than the top of the shell, then smooth it out. The paint cracked after a few months once the outside temperature dropped to 50 degrees (I live in Montana, where it still has 90 degrees to go before it gets cold).

Is as good as it claims to be! During a guest visit, a small chip around the drain edge in my bathtub was saved by this solution
5/5

As a result, we would have had water trickling into our home's attic from under the tub shell. The process was quick, easy, and it dried quickly, as well as not having a very strong smell. As is dries mostly translucent, we found it to be perfect for our purposes.

This book is highly recommended
5/5

I used this on a cracked pvc elbow on a sprinkler manifold. To prep the pvc, I cleaned it with a Scotchbrite pad (the green kind) and wiped all dirt and residue off. Mix the powder and liquid together with a popsicle stick in an old cough syrup measuring cup. Just eye-balled it to make sure it was the right consistency. The liquid should completely cover the powder so that there is no spillage. After mixing it to the consistency of thick gravy, it was thick enough to not run when applied to pvc (about 2 minutes), then I spread it over the crack as well as a portion of the whole I didn't apply water pressure until the next morning even though they say it will fully set up in 20 minutes. Currently there are no leaks and have been leak-free for several years Know that you are free for four weeks. VERY GOOD STUFF, I highly recommend!.

It matched I am very pleased with the product. It's the making of plastic that you're doing. There is a bit of a price to pay, but it is You can get a lot out of a little. The leftover was kept in the refrigerator so I can use it later. As a matter of fact, I would enjoy using your service.
