Questions & Answers

Can I use this application on my iPhone?

Your iPhone can only be mounted in your car if you first glue it to the windshield.

Am I correct in my understanding that this fills in the crack just to make it less visible, and does not prevent it from running any further?

It has been over a year since I applied the resin and I've had no issues. I had a crack that was quite deep and large on my windshield. You can view several videos on YouTube by Chris Fix It, explaining how to use the product. There should be at least Watching it before using it was what I did.

Is this effective on chips on a house window that is vertical?

The answer is no.

What about home windows? Can this product be used on them?

addition to my initial answer, I want to point out that we can get windshield repair resins in a variety of It is useful to use #25 resin as it has a good, all-around viscosity, but the higher the # the less noticeable the crack after the repair, but the more difficult it will be to introduce It is recommended to use the denser densities only during very hot days, when their viscosity has been In order to fix a crack, I would first try a resin with a higher viscosity, such as 50. As long as the liquid flowed evenly into the crack, I continued to use it, but then, as the crack got narrower, I switched to 25, and sometimes even thinner on cold days on extremely warm If you get some resin into as much of the crack as possible, that's better than none

The end result may have been the ruin of I urge you to read! When I repaired a small rock chip in my windshield, I believe I made it so that even a professional won't be able to fix it
3/5

I did a lot of research online before buying this product and even watched some great YouTube videos before I purchased it. As I was driving, I noticed a small chip in my windshield. It was not larger than a dime, but my line of vision was right next to it, so I figured I would fix With the Kit now being simple and easy to use, using it has never been easier. These instructions are very clear and easy to understand. It vacuums out the glass debris from inside a chip using Clean Window. Stick the pad on the Plastic Housing then put all the Resin in the crack then, suction out all the air until the Resin fills up the chip. Remove the Resin from the crack then, press air into the window until the Resin sets. Add a dab of resin on top, let it dry, and then clean it off with a scraper. Let it sit in the sun for a few hours to dry. In my view, this claim has a serious flaw. RESIN is a UV-based product, it uses light to dry, rather than heat or air. It dries using light, either UV radiation from the sun or My car was in the sun for over an hour and I was surprised to see that it was still wet when I removed the dab of resin in the last step. As a result, I rephrase A dab was applied and the last step was repeated. In the hot sun, we waited for two hours. Despite the fact that it did not dry, it remained moist. The sun did not dry my car even after I left it in the sun all day. Thus, I presume that I have either a very old bottle of Resin or a lemon. However, there is one problem. I have no idea when or if the Resin will dry inside the crack, and I have no way to remove it. There is also still a visible chip in my computer. Even if the resin is too dry or too wet, I can't even apply another product to the chip because the other product will just cover over the bad stuff and continue to display the chip. My heart is broken. These packages should have an expiration date. Now there is no way to repair the chip since the resin in the chip has been contaminated.

The price was less than $12 and it worked pretty good
5/5

The price was less than $12 and it worked pretty good. As I was approaching my home one night, I noticed a chip the size of a pea. When I called a well-known glass repair company, I was quoted over $140 for them to come to my place and repair my windshield (as opposed to $120 to have them come to me). A youtuber named chrisfix made a video using this product and showed some really impressive results, so I decided to give it a try myself. Results are excellent. I'm very happy with them. Photo illustrations accompany the instructions, making them as clear as day. It took me about an hour to complete the process and I took my time. You start by creating a vacuum, and then let it sit for ten minutes using the included plunger. In order for this step to be successful, I waited fifteen minutes (looking at the crack from the inside of the windshield) to ensure no new air bubbles were being formed. After I completed this task, I followed the instructions to the letter, except that I used the cure strip twice. The difference between now and before is phenomenal the crack is extremely hard to see now and can only be observed from states that this product will not completely remove the blemish, but will stop the crack from growing, which is exactly what I'm looking for. You can use the applicator as long as you do not have a huge crack larger than the applicator, which is about 1 inch. Follow the instructions (including the working temperature) and you're good to go. It is 5 inches long.

I was unable to use it
3/5

It didn't work for me even after I followed the lengthy instructions to the letter. I was careful to follow each step to the letter, but it never worked. It did not cure at all, and remained a watering waste of time. After applying the resin, and waiting 10 minutes (10 minutes for the first step, 20 minutes for the second), I removed the "pedestal" and got a puddle of water Several hours later, the resin residue was still as watery as when it was first applied. It also called for a "cap" on the resin tube, though it did not come with such a cap, and it mentioned a "curing strip" which was not included, too. It was a waste of money and time.

The $10 will be worth it when you have a My windshield had just been replaced and I got a bull's eye within a month of getting it
5/5

My hesitation stemmed from the fact that I just spent over $300 in less than a month, but I resisted filling and fixing the thing. Some months later, I still get a couple of small chips. They're still not as bad as crumb size just In the wake of reading the reviews and watching the tutorial on how to replace a windshield, I decided why not try it for $10 bucks. In the meantime I am filling in the two little chips I have, but on the whole I am impressed with the bullseye work. A quarter of an inch was the length of the bullseye. Pictures are taken from the outside. As a result, they seem a bit more noticeable from the inside. It is up to you to decide. My only wish would be that more tools were provided for people who have to repair more than one thing.

It is best to order two so that you have one to use when the next chip occurs
4/5

During my career, I have used two or three different brands to do four or five repairs. It is difficult to distinguish one from the other. There is not a favorite brand for me. I have not tried the 3M brand. Make sure you follow the directions, including the plunger and curing times. Below the area where you will be working, lay a cloth. It's a good kit, the adhesive is good, it sticks well. The airtight seal is important, so this is one of the best options. Most people have trouble removing adhesive. It comes off cleanly, but there can be a lot of resin left behind. It is easy to clean. There were two kits in my order. The windshield was cloudy, the glass was pitted and hairline fractures had formed beyond the 1. A crack was four months old, the size of a pencil eraser and a pit on the windshield. I recommend that you repair the 25 inch. When viewed from inside a vehicle, the area becomes less noticeable, the cloudy area is clear and the outside of the windshield is smooth and level. It had a pit that was smaller and had been in the oven for three weeks. The chip cannot be seen out of the corner of your eye without looking very closely. When it was first introduced, it was very noticeable. The chip came to my attention as soon as the rock sounded.
