Having this experience was a good The end result was positive, but it did require a bit of effort and some learning. After watching two YouTube videos about ways to polish out windshield wiper rubbings, I began studying the various methods. It came with a piece of cerium oxide powder as well. I was told to be patient by someone. That was the right decision. It was necessary to submit three different applications for the job. The first time I used the wheel, I used my 18-volt drill. The drill still needs to be controlled, but we are making some progress. I switched from my Craftsman grinder to my Craftsman polisher for the second grind. We have made progress, but we are not totally successful. It took a third effort for me to get the result It is important to keep the polishing powder wet as you use it.
It was a mole hill that became a mountain. My windshield was scratched by a cement truck that threw cement all over the road, causing the debris to land on it. In retrospect, I should have left it alone, but since it was a new 2020 BMW, I thought I could polish it so it wouldn't be noticeable. A Dremel tool, along with a buffing attachment, was the first tool I used. The result was that the spot became hazy and could not be removed. After that, I used wet sand to try to clean the mess. It turns out I was left lots of scratches all over the place. As I read about cerium oxide, I wondered what in the world was going on. This polishing wheel and powder came from a local hardware store, and I used distilled water to apply them. Until all the scratches were gone, it took me no longer than 5 minutes and 3 rounds of application. I hardly see the nick at all now that it is smoothed out. The damage to my windshield has been repaired. Because the glass is structurally liable, I was unable to find any window shops that would buff the glass. More than $1000 was saved as a result.
As the shaft is round, there is no way to chock it properly I used it to polish a scratch out of glass and literally on the first pass, within a few seconds, the edge was already rounded over, and it was reducing in size. Why? Therefore, there is no great quality, design or durability.
I simply plugged the electric drill into it and it took care of the task. Moreover, the quality of the products is outstanding! It is a pleasure to work with you.
My glass polish has not yet arrived, but I am sure that this will do the trick. I polished some plastic and it worked very Hopefully, I will be able to update when the cerium oxide comes in.
It has held up well over the years and has been used multiple times.
This wheel polisher was purchased for removing scratches on the glass windshield of my Only five minutes after starting. As soon as the wheel was used, it In this case, only the buffing wheel is attached to the shaft. Won't stay on the air. Spins around and around. I spent my money in the wrong place!.
