For my it is the only backing plate that I trust

The only backing plate I trust on my DA Polishers is this one. A sturdy hook and loop fastener and just the right degree of rigidity in the plate make this product attractive. There is an 18 - 20 percent difference in the polishers' work These backing pads will normally last me one year and a half, if not longer, based on my 50 hours of usage per week.

On an Astro 321 Onyx DA sander, the tool keeps failing Does not have a speed rating

Failed again and again. The Astro 321 sander seems to operate at 16,000 RPM too fast. It does not list the speed rating on the pad, but it comes with the sander. I've had two of them break when I tried to buff. This is dangerous!.
