Questions & Answers
With this system, you will not be able to evacuate your air conditioner. Ensure that you take your system to a shop so that it can be recharged with refrigerant. This pump can be used to draw a vacuum after replacing the compressor, which will enable you to check for leaks and then replace the In case the new part does not come with oil pre-installed, don't forget to add it We've installed it.
Using Freon for vacuuming does not allow saving it because the oil contamination causes it to become contaminated.
There is only one vacuum pump set, which is used for pumping your system out. The best way to find the commonly purchased items together is to go to the Amazon page for the kit. The screws need to be purchased as well If you wish to recharge your system, you will need the R134a adapter and the can tap.
The oil gets dark, but it still remains good for some time. I have carried out this procedure on four cars so far, and the oil is still relatively uncontaminated.

The product is excellent. I was a little confused about which pump to order on amazon because some others had more reviews, but when I checked the reviews on the Zeny pump without the gauges it also received excellent reviews. This pump has a larger motor than the other. I'd say that, as mentioned by others, this is not a heavy duty pump. It's designed for DYI work at home and is perfectly acceptable for that. During operation, the device produces heat, which is completely normal, and it should not be considered excessive. Kits with other rings work the same way as well.
The pump and gauge set I bought are both working well. It worked for me using a 410a mini Pull a vacuum with a split air conditioning system. Having used it for less than 5 hours, the pump started to rumble like crazy. Despite pulling down a vacuum and holding it with the gauges, both the pump and gauges sounded as if they were on the verge of explosion. A vacuum would not be pulled again. Originally, I thought it would last for more than one job. As soon as I began allowing the gas into the system, the gauges held a vacuum quite well, but as soon as I opened the AC system, the pressure went up to about 160, and then boom, the gauges started leaking gas. As a result, I was able to disconnect the unit quickly because I was standing right there. It turns out the broken units were refunded. The gauges of the pump should be handled with care, and the pump should be considered a one-time-use appliance Machines are the best way to use.
I recommend this A/C R134A Manifold Gauge Set if you need to measure the size and capacity of the manifold. It will be necessary to use a refrigerant can tap and an adapter to connect the yellow hose to the tap if you want to fill your car's air conditioning. In order to plug the adapter into the connector, 1/4" SAE Male x 1/2" Acme Female are required. For vacuuming the AC system, the pump works well. Once my vehicle was hooked up to the vacuum, it reached a pressure of 30 inches of mercury almost instantly.
As stated on the package, "ACME adapter 1/2" (male) x 1/4" (female) included" but the kit does not include the adapter In this case, I would send it back owing only to this factor. However, I had already filled the pump with the oil provided and applied This is a good machine, but it was very frustrating that the part was not included. Furthermore, the pump setup instructions also describe the amount of oil required to fill the pump as "approximately 150 ml" when it actually took the entire 300 ml of supplied oil to get the pump up and running. What a disappointment!.
Apart from that, everything seemed to run smoothly. The vacuum works well for removing debris from two separate air conditioning units. The only thing that was odd was that on the second car, the pump would turn on for two seconds and then turn It was plugged in several different outlets and I checked that it had enough oil. As soon as I detach it from the gauge set and put the cap on it, the pump ran fine. Aside from that minor issue, the pump/gauge set is wonderful and offers an affordable price. This would be perfect for anyone needing to fix a broken air conditioning system, but not one looking to spend the big bucks on an expensive brand. If you're looking at using this in a shop, I'd look somewhere else. Putting this in storage after using it for just one or two cars is a good thing if you need to use it for only a few vehicles.
There is a yellow hose that does not fit the r134a cans, so I cannot give this product 5 stars. R134a cans can be fitted with gauge sets purchased at your local store. Although I had read reviews ahead of time, I wasn't expecting this adapter to be as difficult to assemble as it was! The valve had to be purchased at an auto store and a few more adapters were purchased at Lowe's. Lastly, even with Teflon tape, I am not able to stop the leakage of R134a. The vacuum pump was working without a hitch, and all gauges were in good condition. This is a fantastic deal.
It was a little off on the gauges, but one of the great things is you can adjust them. It looks like there was something in the lines, so you might wanna blow a bit more air through them. The compressor has not yet been tested, but I will update you when it is. Here's what's new The compressor does its job, but the fittings failed within five years Although this gauge did not have a problem for 7 uses, it was replaced by the seller for free (A+). However, now it appears to have a mind of its own (sticking, slow to react). I hope this can be resolved Nevertheless, it is an okay set, even though I paid 112 for it, but now I am able to get it for 87, which is a better price.
It's important for you to know this! The manifolds typically come with two different sizes of hose fittings. The thickness of a penny and a half. Using this manifold, you will need a 1/4" female cantap to access the 1/4" male fitting on the yellow hose. When you go looking for a 1/4" male thread can tap, you will not find one at your local parts store, at least it wasn't the case for me. A 1/2 inch male can tap can be found at parts stores. Along with this manifold, be sure to order a can tap with a 1/4" male and 1/4" female thread. To be prepared, you can easily find the can taps that come with a 1/4" x 1/2" thread adapter so you'll have one on hand in case.
