Questions & Answers

Can you please let me know what kind of oil ?

A vacuum pump oil is used to lubricate Fill the container to the desired level, but do not overfill After filling the first few ounces, I have not placed 3 ounces in the pump. Platnum*br>silicon mold material is subjected to it to pull air from it. Pump has been a part of my life for 8 months now.

Does the "oil filter" in the unit effectively filter liquids or does it still produce a small amount of mist? Can it be used ?

If you use it in a well-ventilated space, you will need a good supply of air. Pumping pushes a vaccum out of the system There is a fine mist of oil vapour in the exhaust. It must be vented to the outside.

Is this capable of pulling a vacuum up to 36 inches? A vacuum bell jar requires 29 volts of electricity to work?

When you are at sea level you will pull more of a vacuum than when you are at At 3000', you won't pull much more than 26. At higher altitudes, there is less snow. It is normal to experience this. Higher altitudes require less vacuum, so you need less vacuum.

Is it possible for you to give us a decibel reading?

Thanks for asking, but I didn't measure decibels. I would say that the sound is just a little bit more than a hum. I don't think it will be a problem.

A valve vacuum pump from the manufacturer was broken when it was shipped
3/5

I received it A part of the box was demolished inside the Amazon box and the oil was missing from the pump. When I plugged the pump in after buying the oil, it did not engage the motor. There was no response from the manufacturer when I contacted them several times.

Pump that is good for an advanced user IF they know what they Since I am old enough to remember, I've used a half dozen pump brands
5/5

There is a lot of garbage on Earth, whether it comes from China or the USA. A two-stage unit with 8 CFM is the perfect fit for this application. The work so well that I purchased three more (deal with parallel multistage compressors). On my recommendation, my customers have bought them as well, and they are satisfied with the product.

I did lose a leg shock absorber when the pump fell 4 feet from the The pump still works fine. However, someone complained that the pump would not begin to run as soon as it was During the winter it happens to me every year, especially when the pump oil is cold, and this is a common problem with vacuum pumps. Pumps are not at fault, but rather the laws of Ensures that the pump does not have to start against low pressure and thick oil by cracking the seal where the hose connects to the pump. As soon as the pump is spinning, the seal and pump will work fine. If the pump is REALLY cold, it is not going to start. Using a propane or Macp gas torch, it is possible to heat or thin oil with the heat pump. It is not a good idea to do this if this concerns you at all. Misting has been said to be a complaint of some. At the beginning, it moves 8 cubic feet per minute. It is a given that there will be mist on any major Those who purchase a two stage pump with an 8 CFM setting do not have time to wait until a vacuum is achieved however, time is money for those who do not want mist. It is the tradeoff for pulling a fast vacuum that there is mist. There is one last thing I want to mention. There are many instances in which a person does not achieve a This is something that happens all the time. It's normally an indication that your You may also experience this problem if your vacuum gauge is uncalibrated, your pump oil is dirty, or your oil isn't at the appropriate If I deadhead and check each pump against an accurate gauge, all four of them still pull an extremely deep vacuum.

The Robinair I know is not the one I As compared to my Robinair SPX pump (made in the U
3/5

S. A. ), the pump had a cheap appearance and felt of inferior quality. By purchasing this pump, I will have 2 more CFM than I have with As soon as the pump was turned on, oil mist pours everywhere. If the suction is lost for a second, oil mist proceeds to spread throughout the entire building. It is the same with my old pump. It has a slightly noticeable mist, but it does not seem to be an oil shower. I find it even worse that the company selling it hides a significant portion of the retail price in shipping The publisher assumes Amazon will not charge his or her fees on the total price of the pump. There is no refund for your $70 plus dollar "shipping fee," but they do charge an additional $15 plus dollar shipping fee for returning Overall, it was a very disappointing transaction and junk pump to begin with, so don't waste your time or money on it.

A job that lasted almost a year
3/5

A few reviews for Robinair were less than stellar, so I discounted these bad reviews. I see it makes blue vacuum pumps and red China is the country that makes red. The USA is the country that makes blue. It failed on the first day of operating (did not verify the truth of the blue vacuum pump being USA made. ) The 15800 vacuum pump I purchased to replace my 30-year-old Dayton vacuum pump never completed its first day of operation. I'm not sure what happened inside, but it went into lockdown. The short version of the story is that I returned the red pump and purchased the pump refresh kit from Grainger and I am back in business with my 30 year old pump. There is no guarantee that your results will be the same.

This is an oily mess that is loud and messy
3/5

Nonetheless, I would like to state that I tried to email Robinair, but the email got returned, which said the email address was invalid. It's been less than a month since I got it. Although this vacuum pump is very loud, the thing that most bugs me is the oily mess it makes. Initially, I did not try to drain the oil, but all of it dripped out of the drain valve/screw. On the concrete, it now appears to have a large oil spot. Oil splatter now covers the wall where it happened next to a wood wall while running. Clearly visible is the vapor, mist, or fog. Since I'm still within the return window period, this will be sent back to me.

Despite the fact that it has been 3 years since I changed the oil, the engine is still running strong
5/5

The pump created a vacuum suction that removed air bubbles outside the silicone mixture, and was a good price. I used it in parts with large chambers to remove air bubbles. A 29lb mercury pump is easily able to remove air from silicone mixtures because it is able to continuously work. Despite the fact that it has been 3 years since I changed the oil, the engine is still running strong. I was very impressed with the product for the.

The quality of what you get depends on the price you pay
5/5

This device quickly purges the AC system. On the gauges after 5 minutes, the readings were all negative. There was a blip of 30mm (the lowest) and then nothing happened. As I have listened to other pumps videos, I can assure you that this pump is quiet. A complete fill up of oil was included in the package. In the past, there have been claims that oils should be changed after every use, but if you flushed your AC system with light evaporating solvent, then you won't need to change the oil. Once the oil has dried, it can no longer be contaminated. It was a great buy. I am so happy with it.

This was used to vacuum up maple sugar for my own use
4/5

Using this for maple sugaring for vacuum on my releaser 1st year, I got 27 inches of vacuum on 180 taps. However the vanes inside gave out so I had to toggle it, so 5 years later I only get 21 inches of vacuum.
