What I don't like about them is how sticky the silicone is. They collect a lot of dirt and dust, which will inevitably discolor them over time, but it doesn't seem like enough to deduct a star. br>br>These are unmistakably Titan-style manifold-sized. If you have the three hose manifold, you may want to consider another product because these are thick and will protect your gauges from damage.
These are for a set of YJ standard 3 hose gauges, not for the Titan series. They are successful. The gauges are too close together, making it a little difficult to get on. It only takes three minutes to complete. They were a little looser on the gauges than I'd hoped. I'd like something that is more form-fitting and fully enclosed in the back. Even if this necessitates the removal of gauges in order to install them. But I'm sure they'll help with longevity. At the very least, some. However, they are overpriced in comparison to their value.
As other reviewers have stated, these are designed for larger brute manifolds and are far too large for a standard 42001 manifold. They're made of a thick rubber material, and you'll have to remove the hanger before turning the gauges a little to get the covers on. It's not a lot of work, but the material could be thinner and fit the gauge better. I should have done a better job of reading the reviews.
Pro: These are thick silicon rubber boots that will protect the gauges if they are dropped. br>br>Con: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is not the place These are incredibly large. I had to remove the hanger and turn the high side gauge to the side in order to install them; I realize the manifold gauges are close to begin with, but I'd be willing to sacrifice boot thickness for a better fit.
These were purchased to protect the gauges on the Yellow Jacket set of A/C hoses that I purchased, and they look great with a nice finish. Unfortunately, they will not fit the gauges because the gauges on the manifold are far too close together, and a hanger hook is in the way. They will not fit in the space between the gauges even if the hook is removed. One can be put on, but there isn't enough room for the other. Regrettably, they appear to be a good match for the gauges and are advertised alongside them. Not!.
They're sick and will obviously last a long time, but I had a lot of trouble getting them on my gauges. It was difficult to get both sides on due to the robber's thickness. It got to the point where I was ready to give up and return them, but I was able to retrieve them in the end. br>I'm not sure if it was related to my gauges. I am satisfied with the product in general.
They're designed specifically for the Yellow Jacket Titan/ 4 valve manifold. I'll keep using them to protect my gauges, but Yellow Jacket should design some boots specifically for regular manifold gauges.
It was a perfect fit for my gauges. They're a lot thicker than I expected, which is good because they offer a lot of protection. br>br>The gauge face hood is about 1/2" thick and extends quite far over the front gauge face, providing a great deal of protection. These will greatly aid in the preservation of your Dials' condition and life.
