Thread is used to attach the piece to the piece. Designed to plug the RV's city water connection, it can also serve as a plug for the RV's hose. Assume it can be attached to a female end of a garden hose as well.
It is designed to keep dust and dirt out of the fresh water connection of your RV. As well as being used on each end of a hose, it can be used on all the ends of the hose as well. If I were under pressure, I would not use it.
It appears that there is only one (1) plug listed in the description, NOT four. The order I placed was for Two (2) and I got two.
Your question does not seem to make sense to me. When you are doing dry camping with no hookups, it is not a good idea to fill up the fresh water tank while you are camping with hookups. It is better to keep the water system clean and enclosed during travel.

It was a perfect fit for me when I ordered it. It was simply a matter of loosening one of the screws on the inlet to disconnect the lanyard. My water is clean again, as I no longer have to worry about trash and bugs.
In our used RV, we found something that looked like this, however it was not there. I would not recommend using this water, as you will use it since you will use it.
It is not pictured or described here, but I received a 'US Hardware RV460C'. I would've preferred to get the one I ordered since they are both hose plugs, but the camco shown in the picture looks like it has better grips, so I would've chosen that one.
It's a nice little plug for connecting to the city water system. Rubber plug that had rotted away after a couple years was replaced with this one. In order to secure the lanyard under the screw, I simply wrapped the wire around one of the screws.
It works the way it should.
Our RV has a leak and we used this to cinch it up. In order to avoid tearing apart the hose input to repair it properly, I was able to use this plug instead, since it is solid rather than vented like some of the other hose plugs. It worked perfectly and I saw.
Easily seals the end of garden hoses that are buried in the ground during.
There seemed to be a bit of a price gap between what you get and what you pay- This clear, stretchy plastic has an incredibly smooth surface. As we wait for it to harden, crack and break in the sun, we'll see how long it lasts.
