To connect this system from the RV to the spigot, you will need a total of two drinking water hoses. As the additional hose will be needed to connect the hose directly to the RV, no filters will be needed since this component will be added in line.
Depending on the gallons that you filter and the type of water, the filters may last for a long time. If the water is very pure, it could last for 1 year if used full time. It may be possible to only use the filter for three months if you travel a lot, purify bad water and filter lots of sediment and chemicals. It is estimated that the sediment filters will last about three months and the carbon filters will last about six months, although they can last longer depending on the water quality.

As a first step, I wanted to say that I contacted Dave at RV Water Filters before buying the product and I was very happy with his customer service. As it's all we know, I do not use the "blue pill" filter that most RVers use when they first purchase their new (to them) RV. We enjoy drinking better tasting water with this product because it is simple, makes sense, and gives great results. To ensure that water tastes great, we also have an under counter filter, which further filters water so that it always tastes Until I noticed a small blemish on the threads on one side, it was not a big deal, but if I had bought it at a local store I would most likely have gone back and exchanged it for something else. The problem is. This is installed and working well, so I don't see any reason to worry about that minor blemish. The peace of mind that comes with knowing all the water goes into your coach is wonderful (particularly now that we live in it!).
The following has been updated It is great having this filter system! It is still very much to our liking. Florida water is typically bad tasting, so it removes it from the Drinking out of our kitchen sink faucet and enjoying it is the norm for us and our picky dogs! In order to end the hassle of taking bottled water with us, we bought this for our RV. Having conducted extensive research, we determined that this is the best system suited to our needs and enable us to drink the water coming into the RV with the comfort of knowing that our dogs and we can both drink it. My company impressed me because as soon as I contacted them, they answered all my questions, no matter how in-depth. My water is safe to drink because they helped me choose which system to purchase based on factors such as flow rate and cost. There are some fancier looking systems available, but the only thing that matters is if water is safe to drink. This topic is nice because they recommended keeping it in a tote so it would be protected from the sun and the weather.
The pros are The setup and installation of the software is simple. A good explanation of the process. The restriction of flow is barely noticeable, if at all. The cons are The connectors are made of plastic. There is no way to stop the seepage. Teflon tape was used, but I was afraid to tighten it too much out of fear that it would split I expected better quality than what the common brand offered for the same price. The company won't be buying from them.
They are good filters, but the heavy canisters that fit on the top are a real annoyance. Approximately 9 out of 10 times I go out I see a tipped over container. It also has loose screw connections between them, although you can tighten them so they act like one unit without having to be at an angle with It requires a base of some kind. I would certainly pay extra for it, and maybe one is there, but I did not see it mentioned If I find one that is good, I will update my review from 4 stars to 5 stars.
So far, ten 54gal fills have been completed, and I'm thrilled with how they've turned out. As a result, we can now use our 'tanned' water without fear. It's recommended by an old fart.
I fill up whenever I need to, no matter where I am and it always tastes great!.
I installed it in order to filter the water going into my camper. I found the installation to be very straightforward. I am very happy with the results. At the camp ground, a lot of people have asked me about it, and they have seen how I mounted it with a hose to the bracket in the water hook up area.
Our water now tastes just like drinking it straight from the tap, with no weird smell or taste. And our showers are now actually clean. We are so glad we made the decision to finally buy it for our camper, since we live full time in it.
