In short, yes. 2) 1/2 FPT openings on one end and 1) 1-inch openings on the other end of the tank An opening of 1/2" FPT is required. You determine which fitting is on the bottom of the tank based on how you orient it. As an aside, I bought three of these, and each one differed in dimension by a quarter inch to a half inch. The item may therefore not fit into the exact area described in the listing.
Despite the false information, some rvs and horse trailers are already equipped with a set-type air chamber It looks like this when it's up. Because the spout is difficult to work with, we recommend using the stock tank if you do not intend to use it. This allows you to have more options when it comes to fitting it with Our Fresh / Gray tanks are equipped with a variety of fittings. I am using it as a reservoir for a hydroponic system, so I used a Home Depot 5 gallon bucket and a one quart canning jar to estimate the capacity. As I filled it, I marked 5 gallon increments on the side. 22 and 1/4 gallons was the result of my measurement. When the largest sides were fully occupied, there was mild distention in those areas. To put the hydroponic water lines and pump, I drilled three holes ranging between 1 inch and 6 1/2 inches in diameter across the narrowest surface. The integrity of the tank did not seem to be affected. Due to a 10% difference between my measurement of the volume and the advertised volume, I deducted one star.
Fittings should be on top and bottom, so you can fill the tank to 100% capacity and remove 100% of the water. Instead the fittings are on the sides, so you lose 10+10% in potential.
Also, having the holes predrilled made life a lot easier for us.
The advertised work was carried out.
That's a junky item. I wouldn't recommend buying this product. After 9 months, the small fitting cracked and began to leak. It would have been better if I had spent just a tad more money on a better.
Thank you.
I bought this for my food truck and it works great.
