Is there a lock on this unit when it's not in use?

Yes, it's the kind that needs to be screwed into the wall.

Please double-check that the unit is in the "right-hand-side-up" position. the "hand" door - There appears to be a left-handed photographer in the photos. door on the left Is it possible to reverse the direction of the door? The unit is not powered by 12 volts - correct?

If you look at the top right, it's clearly a right-hand door. There appear to be hinges in the right-hand corner.
