Yes, it will, in a nutshell.
I see no reason why I couldn't use it on a steel cable.

It is not listed with the state's 35000 pound rating.
The color scheme and design are both fantastic. I wish the paint had stayed on for a longer period of time. It crumbles like an eggshell. For a long-lasting paint job, it might be best to purchase a regular one and cerakote it zombie green. However, it will work in the end. Though I could have gotten regular galvanize for $20 less.
This company has a serious lack of quality control. To be more specific: The hook is extremely effective. However, because the hook is only covered in a thin layer of paint, the red fades quickly with use.
install in a similar manner). I prefer this to basic hooks because of the way it looks. It appears to be of good quality and finished well. I did replace the roll pin with a padlock because the cotter pin securing the roll pin could be removed without a tool, and I didn't want a criminal to steal my nice new hook.
It appears to be of high quality. I had to force the hook into my winch cable because it was larger than I anticipated, but that was my fault for failing to read the dimensions. So far, I'm pleased with it, and it's held up admirably.
This was added to my ATV winch so that I could have a larger hook for a tree saver because the stock one was too small. I've only used it once, to help guide a tree away from a fence while we were cutting it down. High quality appears to be the case. We'll see how it goes this winter when we're plowing.
The reason for the four stars rather than five is that the Allen wrench is advertised as included, but mine was not. It wasn't a huge deal, but it wasn't there.
The only criticism I have is that the paint is somewhat flimsy and easily chips. In fact, it came with chips right out of the box. It's not the end of the world, but you might want to try something a little more durable that won't chip off as quickly. So, oh well, I'll probably get it powder coated now. I would have given five stars if it weren't for that.
