In my 2015 RAM 2500, I used this to replace the OEM ball. No modifications were required for this hitch to replace my OEM hitch. When I made it, there were large chips inside the bottom counterbore from drilling the latch pin cross bores. Before you install it, do yourself a favor and remove these with a screwdriver so they don't clog up your latch pin.
Other manufacturers, I believe, have overlooked this minor detail. When the ball is inserted with the ball facing down, how do you get it out? However, B They came up with this idea after learning about their product. There's a 3/16" roll pin in the bottom for you to grab. In other news, I purchased my B W slider, which I installed in my pickup about three years ago. It had never been used until a few months ago, when I needed to tow a gooseneck rather than a fifth wheel. I was concerned about getting it out of the receiver in the pickup's bed, but that was not an issue. It was as if it were a breeze to write. They produce a high-quality product that is well worth the investment.

Because this is a very expensive alternative. For years, I used an offset ball with my gooseneck horse trailer, but when I bought an Andersen Ultimate gooseneck hitch for our new 5th wheel, the offset ball wouldn't work, and guess what? I couldn't find the original B. W ball. I'm sure I'll find it now that I've purchased a replacement.
This was purchased as a gift for a neighbor who recently purchased a new truck. The hitch pin had gone missing. This new pin is designed to fit perfectly. Before inserting, make sure it's well greased so it doesn't rust quickly due to inactivity. It's well-made, though a little pricey, and it's made by a 5th wheel manufacturer, so it'll meet towing requirements. Not an item from another country that might be of dubious quality.
I recently bought a used truck, but the previous owner had apparently kept the ball from the gooseneck hitch, so I needed to replace it. This one was purchased as a "used-" item. It does appear to be brand new, so it must have been a return without the original packaging. I put it in the bed of my truck and am ready to go the next time I need to transport my horses.
My 2012 F-150 was purchased new. 150 was used, and the gooseneck was not discovered until a week later. I couldn't use a gooseneck because I didn't have a ball, so I looked everywhere until I found this. Cheaper than anywhere else I've looked, and after a long battle with UPS and the seller, I finally received my order, which works as well as I could hope.
I thought it was a little pricey, but I was using the B. W Hitch from a wrecked car, but no ball. As a result, I received an A. W ball. This is a colossal piece of metal. I haven't tried it yet, but I can see why it's so pricey right now. br>I anticipate it meeting or exceeding my expectations.
