Questions & Answers

In a trailer with dual axles, how many levelers will you need?

In the case of dual axle trailers, two sets of leveling legs are required. It does not seem like the axle spacing between the wheels is sufficient to set a leveler between each wheel on the low side. I'm not sure what the minimum spacing would be between the axles to make one leveler work.

To fit one of these, how much space is needed between the wheels? With 26" diameter tires and 2" thick tires, I have a trailer with 26" wheels. They are closest to one another when they are 25" apart. ?

I noticed that our tires are pretty close to each other During close inspection, I estimated that the closest point to me was 3 inches. In the bottom portion of the treads, the treads touch the ground by around 22 inches. There is a tight fit with the levelers Wiggle them in while you're at it Nevertheless, my tires fit just fine with them. I agree - they're great! I have tried so many different ways to level, but this is by far the easiest way. The first couple of times I tried them, I thought they wouldn't fit, but after further trial and error, they barely fit in and work like a charm.

In an order, how many levelers are there?

Per box, you will get 1 Leveler and 1 Chock Block. It will be necessary to order two units if your trailer has two axles. It is recommended that you do not level your trailer with just

Are there any steps you need to take if you need more than four inches of ?

If I want to add additional height, I either add a 1x10 or a 2x10 to the bed. The likelihood of this happening is very low. As well as leveling the picnic table, the boards can be used as a leveling device.

Since I have been using these for a year now, they have proved to be very reliable
4/5

My experience with these has been great since I have been using them for a year now. This is how it has been up to now. We pulled our trailer up front of the house to prepare it for trade-in, and both levelers broke as soon as I tried to pull up on them. During their second round, one snapped at hole number 2, while the other snapped There is no time for shipping them back and waiting for replacements, so I called Anderson directly to find out what could be done. We're leaving for an extended trip in 5 days, so there is no time to ship them back. In the course of the conversation, I was given the names of a few RV dealers who stock them, and instead I should do a warranty replacement directly at those dealers. The trailer is empty except for the cargo load, and the weight on it is about 7500 lbs. I can't figure out why they snapped like that unless the material dried out or was In any case, considering it's only been 15 months since purchase and even with a 3 year warranty, I would hope this wouldn't be the case. As for the rep asking if my tires were underinflated, which they are not since I just checked them before I attempted to level the camper, I was confused. It seems, however, as though it could cause them undue stress? Though that seems a little odd if they are meant to handle weights up to 30,000 lbs! In other words, although I really like these, am impressed with Anderson's warranty replacement process, and will continue to use them first and foremost for leveling my trailer, I will have to start carrying my pressure-treated boards again in case of emergency. My heart ached.

The ramps are fine, but previous news reports outline why the CEO is being fired

well, but I cannot recommend this or any other product manufactured by this company based upon multiple news reports that outline the CEO's penchant for damaging public land in or around Arches National Park and his recent "sorry I got caught" type apology in public.

The company is OK, but they are very expensive
3/5

I bought two of these for my dual axle trailer. I have not encountered any issues with them. Depending on how nice they are or how worthless they are. As far as the level of my trailer is concerned, I am not the type who must have it It would be just fine for me to pull up on some 2x6s and call it a day. There are some people who have to have their levels They also say that you get 4 inches of lift from them.
This is for those who have to have it perfect. My experience has been that you can get up to Taking it all the way to 4" will leave you on the edge of being tipped over. It may even require more than 4 inches to lift me to a certain place. Ultimately, I am not sure this would be a good purchase. Some of my friends with trailers have recommended them to me, while I haven't recommended them This is by far the most expensive dual axle trailer on the market and they slide out a lot, too. In my opinion, they are not much better than a few 2x6's, and they're not something I would buy However, I already have them so I will make use of The pros are The features are excellent for new camping areas, fast and solid construction, and a great WOW factor from other campers, easy to do alone, and quick to set up

Cons This is expensive (especially for dual axles)* I sometimes need a lift that is higher than 3 inches. The width of my tires is greater than the width of my leveler.

Under ideal conditions or for lighter trailers, this may be useful
3/5

It may work well under ideal circumstances, like a cement pad or extremely dry conditions, but not well suited elsewhere. I have a dual axle trailer with a gross weight of 7300 lbs, parked in this case at around 6500 lbs. It was helpful that I did not make an investment for two until trying it first. Others have already mentioned that when wet, it implodes out of the tire when it is attempting This eliminates any convenience to a great extent. It was the first time I tried it in soft ground, not muddy. In the site, material consisted of 3 inch diameter gravel and a 2 inch base with a moderately soft soil This device only has a diameter of about half the diameter I needed, so it sunk, and I only got two inches of The blocks on the second axle did not slip or sink and had no effect on the wheel. This would likely be useful to people who enjoy parks, otherwise you can just stick with your blocks, which also take up less storage space. If I could get my money back, I would appreciate it.

The benefit that goes unnoticed is the fact that it helps stabilize
5/5

In the past few months, I purchased two Anderson 3604 Camper Levelers. Since they are a little pricey, it took a leap of faith to buy them. When I purchased them, I didn't have a chance to use them until a few months later. My camp site was level the first time I thought I would use them. It's not necessary to have them if you're level. It was my last attempt to camp at a level site. It wasn't hard to figure out how to use them after I took them out of the box. I went over my expectations with my wife, who will install an Anderson Leveler. It's not complicated, but my wife is going to do it. My trailer leveled once we backed onto them while mounting each set to a wheel. By holding a level vertically on the side of our trailer, we can determine the level. Using the smaller piece on the other side we locked them up when we drove up to 1" near the top level. This was a great idea, and an unknown benefit was that it stabilized the trailer as well. Amount of rise you can get from the Anderson Leveler can range from 3/4" to 4". to raise the tent more than 4", find a different campsite. * I recommend the Andersen-Ikon tent. Leveling kit for campers 3604.
