It works well for the job. On the outside of the door is an outlet. I put the door in the same place on the inside of the outlet. It works, and looks really nice. This door is flimsy and I am one of the few people who has complaints about it. One good twist on your shore power cable and you're likely to break the door if you use it on an RV the way it was intended.
Gave it four stars because there is no real seal on the device, but some type of stick on sealing strip for a screen door could do the trick. I'd rather not have to modify the old 75 ElDorado to fit the new one, and installing it would be easier if I didn't have to do custom work. This product is an excellent value for the price. Don't forget to buy some butyl tape if you don't already have any! It looks like I'll try to get another from the same seller for my plumbing access. ** Brackets.
It was eventually discovered that the electric cable had There is no longer a need for it! By blocking the hatch, an easier way to get inside the box where the electric cable is stored should something go wrong. The product looks good, it is very.
In my opinion, it is not very sturdy, especially the door. I worry that over time the door pins may break that hold the door in place, and if that happens it would be difficult to replace the door since the frame is siliconed in place.
To convert my stock plug to shore power, I replaced it. factory plug had a small round hole that was too small for the new better one. A bigger hole was cut in my RV because I purchased this. Here is what we did. Put it in a sealed envelope. I am very satisfied with this shore power plug for my new RV.
Basically, it is cheap hard plastic on a thin sheet. There are a few options listed as "white", but it's more like Polar white or Diamond white. When it's attached to an RV, it's often blinding compared to even polar white attachments nearby. In addition, it is transparent and glossy, making it impossible to paint on without preparation.
Installing the lock is not difficult, but it is light duty.
For my 30 amp RV, the hole where the electric cord goes is quite large after this is installed.
