light. I saw the photo and assumed they were the standard 6" lights, so I didn't bother to look at the measurements. I was like. . . when I got it. hmm, there's a slew of LEDs in there, each one a foot long. Perhaps I only require one. However, I placed them about 5 feet apart. I can now tan in the middle of the night as well. These things produce a tremendous amount of light. It was a little difficult to seal them because you only have a 1/16" wall around the entire light to work with, but with patience, I was able to get them done. If you're looking for a way to stand out from the crowd, You will not be disappointed if you upgrade your 12v lighting. The photos don't do them justice, but they were taken in pitch darkness. There is no moon and the sky is dark.
The most difficult part was removing the old porch light from my 2004 Winnebago Brave because the sealant on the backing plate was still pliable and sticky. After removing the faily, proceed straight fordward, noting that both wires are white; either one can be connected to positive or negative. The length of this light fixture is roughly twice that of a typical RV porch light. This light is VERY BRIGHT, and it's a great upgrade. br>Gave it four stars because the screws that came with it are too small. For added security when bouncing down the road, I intend to drill and install at least two more larger screws. As promised, a good price arrived. If your RV requires a new porch light or simply a brighter one, this is the one to get.
Only because it was inexpensive did I give it four stars. as well as the fact that you get what you pay for. It isn't a light for an RV or trailer that can be used outside. If a rock landed on it, it would shatter. It's not waterproof (I haven't tried it in a rainstorm), but it lacks any waterproofing gaskets, seals, or design. It would be suitable for use as an indoor light. This will almost certainly be returned. I'll have to spend a little more money on a well-constructed outdoor light.
It's very bright. The light is a brilliant white. This is a fantastic perspective. Installed about 8 feet off the ground on a cargo trailer, this light easily illuminates a 30x30ft area around the trailer. Willbr>purchase a second one for the trailer's other side. br>Wish there was a rubber gasket around the back, but that was easily fixed with some silicone.
These will be mounted on my RV to replace the ones I currently have. These lights should have a gasket or waterproof seal, according to the company. If it weren't for this issue, I would have given it five stars.
Installing it is simple and quick. It comes with everything you'll need.
Screws are too small and thin to detect motion, and the heads are easily striped. In the bag, there are no moleys. Even so, the expense is justified, and adding a motion sensor costs only a few dollars.
It was simple to set up. It's very bright, which is exactly what we needed to replace the old tiny amber light next to the front door.
