There should be no drilling at all. When I installed it, however, I had to drill a new hole because the factory installed the standard light fixture in a different location than the hole that was already in the fixture.
Because it is a security light, it does not come with a yellow lens. If you don't know what to do with it, you can replace it with a yellow lens.
No, sorry

The 450BK is incredible, and Gregg Wilson, the owner and inventor, will ensure that your investment pays off. MG- 1000- 450BLK I initially gave it a 3 star rating because it did not come with the mounting plate that was advertised on Amazon. Gregg Wilson contacts me and informs me that the plate is shipped separately from the rest of the order. The following day, I got it. As promised, the plate was able to fit into the existing hole pattern. Gregg forwarded me a link to his video of the installation. Installing the software is simple. Gregg is a wealth of information when it comes to RVs. When I had my slide out, I was having a problem with the motion detector. Greg assisted me in resolving the problem. It now runs without a hitch. Gregg inquired about the status of any other coaching-related projects. I mentioned that I was switching to LEDs with a 6400k color temperature. Despite the fact that I did not purchase my lighting supplies from him, he assisted me with proper conversion and provided recommendations for good supply sources. The lighting in the coach has been modernized and is stunning. Thank you, Gregg, for your wonderful Motion light and for being so knowledgeable and helpful with your RV advice. Have a wonderful trip and stay safe.
It was extremely simple to set up. When you turn on the scare light switch, the light will stay on all the time. If you turn the scare light off and on again, it will only work as a motion light if it detects that it is dark outside. The light is bright, but not excessively so. The motion sensor can be adjusted to fit your needs and is very effective. Because the color temperature is 6500k, it appears to be daylight. If you don't want to drill any more holes in your RV's side, the mounting plate is highly recommended.
My old light wasn't LED, and it wasn't very bright either. This one is a lot brighter and uses a lot less battery. I like that I can leave it on all the time and it only turns on when someone comes close. The adaptor plate was exactly what I needed, and it went together quickly.
It's perfect, and it's exactly what we needed. Installing it was a breeze.
That one worked fine, but I accidentally shattered the plastic motion sensor screen on it (my fault), so when I went shopping for a replacement and came across the MG1000, I decided to give it a shot. br>br>This one has a slightly larger footprint than the one it replaces, which is useful in my case because it hides some old silicon residue from the original light. br>br>This light is much brighter than the one it replaced, and the motion sensing requires no adjustments right out of the box and can easily activate when motion is detected anywhere in the vicinity where I'd like it to activate.
This is very bright, and I like how the motion sensor feature can be controlled from your RV's light switch.
