There are some great parts in the newer style IMGL steps, but the older pre-IMGL steps are not included
5/5

You can compare the part lists to make sure they are identical! This is the perfect fit for me! Please read the following important information IMGL steps are only relevant for the newer style of steps. Older style pre-IMGL steps are not included. You can compare the part lists to make sure they are identical! In order to determine which type of linkage is being used, look at the end of the shaft where the linkage attaches (dead center of the In the new style (this one), you will find a nut holding the linkage in place. This is not the A pre-existing condition Fig. 4) shows the linkage is held in place by a round bushing with a square hole in it. The bushing is fitted on the shaft end and the bushing is supported by a kidney-shaped mounting covering. There is a matching motor for this gearcase, but what you need is the Kwikee 379147 Motor Replacement Kit. You should also replace the clutch in it now since it commonly wears out and slips. In the event this gearcase breaks you probably broke or stressed the clutch too, and it is only available as part of the It is highly recommended that you remove your motor and gearcase and put them back together after inspecting ALL the broken parts! As an RV mechanic, I will likely break a few parts since these steps are hammered into curbs and not lubricated properly. Some of the parts can be found in this gearcase, such as the linkage, motor bolts, large gear, and the motor housing and clutch. This actually seems to be a better made unit than the stock ones. It did a superb job on my customer's 2004 bus with the Kwikee kwilfee I had a problem where the step would come down fine, but skip going back up, and when fully retracted, the motor would keep running, making a loud clicking sound until the wires had to be cut off to stop it. Additionally, I also lube EVERY pivoting point of contact and the shaft bushings at the bottom of the linkage that are attached to it) and they also break from what I refer to as If you hit a curb or let your step fall over the curb before loading your RV, this may damage your Those heavy steps, motors, and gears are put under tremendous pressure by the weight of the user and the rocking back and forth. You should always park far enough away from the curb that, if you let the step fully extend, nothing else will contact it, and they will last the length of the RV. Then you can either straighten them or take them to a blacksmith or metal shop before installing the new parts or you will have to buy new ones soon. If your old parts are bent and binding, remove them and straighten them or take them to a blacksmith. For the ship to last, it must be free to move.

The whole step has to be replaced, but it's cheaper to replace When I close the Kwikee steps on my Fleetwood Expedition, a very loud clicking noise is heard
5/5

As soon as I removed the motor from the steps, I discovered that one of the teeth on the gear on the linkage side had broken Despite my best efforts to replace just the large gear, I was unable to do so due to the design of the linkage part. It took about 15 minutes to reinstall the new linkage part, which came as expected. The step now works great, and I was able to save over $600 because I replaced only the broken part rather than the whole.

In most cases, the hard part is getting the body out

Before ordering, make sure the linkage is correct. The motor and actuator on the Monaco Knight 2003 have been replaced. A different design was used in the old unit. As the parts were being disassembled, different ones broke or seized, making it very difficult to pull them out. There is a great deal to be said about this newer design power step gearbox and the new motor. Do not order just one part. Buy both a new gearbox and Please make sure that you choose the right actuator linkage arm design, as others have pointed out. The linkage I created was mine. The hint is To order a part, take a picture and then reach under your desk with your phone.

I like how easy it is to install and how it works
5/5

The gear box and the motor were both purchased at the same time. In the old gear box, there were two washers between the gear teeth. Based on the stamp on the new gearbox I received dated July 2020, I do not need to add As a result, the motor and gearbox did not seat perfectly, there was a 1/4" gap between them, which couldn't be filled. The gaps were no longer evident after eliminating the spacers. This new one appears to have a taller actual gear, which, I assume, was done to avoid having to use It is simple to install and it functions.

That was terrific
5/5

Its shaft broke, and so I had to replace it. The new transmission is supposed to fix the problem, so I bought it. We have found out that the old motor will not work on the new transmission and no old type transmission is In addition to a new motor, I also bought a new laptop. It works beautifully (even with the old electronic module that the seller had said would not work). I am delighted to report that it works perfectly once.

The system can be used for OEM as well as for work
5/5

As you can see, it is visually and functionally identical to the OEM part that I removed. To alleviate frustration which comes from replacing a single part only to find the other parts in the assembly fail shortly after, I would recommend replacing the motor, gearbox, and controller at the same time.

The same part as in the I have never worn anything like this before

The Kwikee step series #963209000 replaces the Hurricane MH of 2006. The stop cams need to be adjusted correctly so that you have full crank travel. See the Kwikee manual for details. By doing so, an excessive torque load will be applied to the shaft when the step is.

Upon arrival, they greeted each other
5/5

It actually turned out to be better than the original part. I installed it If the old part is bad, make sure it should be replaced prior to ordering. My motor was bad, so I had to replace it. Since I didn't want to tear this part down, I kept it and added the new motor to I am satisfied with its performance.
