It's been two years since I needed to replace the steps on my RV. These are the stock replacements, not anything fancy. In my opinion, they are hard to replace because they are heavy and you have to figure out a way to maneuver them into place before you can insert the bolts. I used a floor jack if I was under the RV, so I raised the floor jacks and then I lifted the jacks. Apart from that, they must be attached to the wiring harness and you are all set.

I watched several video's online on how to do the job easily and quickly. No such thing existed. As per the instructions, I removed my old set and did not extend the new set as it called for. In its place, I lifted the new stairs into place and then secured them by screwing nuts into the tightening bolts in the back. As soon as the cables were snug, I plugged in the unit, and the stairs opened, revealing two bolts on the front. Make sure you don't put yourself in harm's way before plugging in the cords. These are heavy and unwieldy, so be careful as you use them. As I adjusted the stairs with the help of my brother in law, he used a small car jack to pivot the stairs. Twenty years after I first bought them, I had to replace them. My old set of speakers has been replaced with a new set, and they work like new. The wiring and mounting holes are the same.
