It appears that this footstool will hold up quite well, since it is very heavy duty. While they do not appear as heavy duty as those from other sellers (which are all holding up just fine, as well), I only gave it 3 stars because I have several cheaper ones from other sellers. This one is a bit tricky to fold up if you don't handle it carefully. If you are not VERY careful when picking it up, it will pinch your fingers bad. While the little cheap ones (from other sellers) seem to pinch your fingers, since they are smaller they seem to be made differently, and as such are not The only way I would return this is if it wasn't such a hassle, and I could buy more cheapies. Having said that, I've decided to never fold this one up again If you want it to be a seat for the grandkids, then leave it out. There is no way I will allow them to fold or pick it up There are no words for the amount of damage that could to use this in your garage, shop, or somewhere else (without kids or where you do not plan to move it or fold it frequently) then this certainly seems to be heavy duty enough to handle whatever use you intend it to have.

There is nothing that compares to the durability, lightweight, and small foot print of this stool. For our Jeep Wrangler, I have one so my wife can get in and out more easily.
