I was able to use it with my Blue Ox Adventa completely. My brake system has been upgraded to a RVi system.
The ready brake on the blue ox tow bar is used to tow.

Essentially, the nylon bolt and nut place pressure on the cable so it will not wander off. A ration or a minor movement. In other words, I suppose it helps to reduce the possibilities of tampering

About two hours were spent installing the system. I found the directions easy to follow, plus there are a number of YouTube videos on how to install A JEEP Wrangler was used to install it. The ratchet device was mounted on the base plate as another reviewer had done. Cable routing is easy due to the ideal location. As it was a tight area to reach, the most difficult part was installing the cable around the brake pedal and securing it with cable clamps. In some reviews, it was stated that they hope they won't need it, but it does give me great piece of mind to know the vehicle won't run into a person or run off a mountain side if the tow bar or hitch fails. Powered by no power or batteries, this is a great product. This is so easy.
In addition to my 2nd installation, I will also be doing my tracker later on. We use this system with the NSA ReadyBrake system for both vehicles, but it does not require an auxiliary breaking system to operate. It is relatively easy to install cables in most modern vehicles, but tying them up can prove challenging. In order to make it pass through the firewall of my Chevy Colorado, I needed to do some odd gymnastics that I haven't done since I was a kid. In the future, we will install this system in all of our vehicles!.
Does what it is supposed to do. When the cable is yanked out of the front of the car by someone in a parking lot, you have to loosen it to get your car moving again. If you unscrew the nut right where the cable enters the red brake device, the cable will move freely in both directions. There is a small button that is hard to see that allows the cable to move both directions when pressed. It was the manufacturer who told me that if you unscrew the nut, as I did, you should use locknut goo from a tube to ensure that the nut will not fall off. If you read the instructions carefully and follow them, you'll be fine. The instructions do not tell you how to loosen the cables.
As far as I am concerned, this would have received five out of five stars if the manufacturer had provided a cable sleeve for the cable to run in, like they do with their tow-bar It's important to route the cable so as not to damage or cut through the vehicle's components if you don't have a cable sleeve on it. Breakaway system is activated, the vehicle is at risk of being destroyed.
In my 2014 Jeep Wrangler, I replaced this at the same time as I replaced the ready brake cable, so I used the same mounting method. Installing it was pretty straightforward and it takes up very little space on the Jeep's front bumper. When I need to tow, I just hook up the cable end (I painted it black, not sure why they have it red) it's easy to hook up.
If ever necessary, I am certain this will work, but since it only works if your tow vehicle is missing from the scene, I hope I never have to use it.
The installation was quite simple. Videos online showed how to do it. Since I had space constraints, it was the cables that were most challenging for me to round the pedal.
It was easy to install. The system is easy to use, but gives you the confidence that the car will come to a complete stop immediately if the two separate.
