The tape has a 1.25-inch thickness. We don't have 4" on Amazon right now, and we don't have 5mm.
Greetings, Nancy!br>br>Thank you for your inquiry! br>br>You can definitely use this on your rubber roof, and you can paint over it. br>br>Best wishes, Bruce Z. br>SWC Group is a multinational corporation based in the United States.
I'm not sure if you could paint over it, but I suppose you could. It's most likely that spray will be the most effective method.
Yes, it'll do a fantastic job. Simply remember to clean and thoroughly dry the surface before applying the tape. When necessary, overlap the tape by at least one inch over the joint. Also, for best results, leave the tape on for at least 24 hours after application. Thank you very much.

In my new place, there is a leak in the roof that is allowing water to enter through the window. br>I tried caulking, which worked for a while but eventually let water in. br>To blend in with the white paint, I purchased this white tape. br>I had placed the tape in a criss-cross pattern so that it would overlap around the two parts where the holes allowed water to enter. I understand that repairing the roof will be a big job for the building, and all I want is for it to stop raining until winter arrives, at which point they may be able to come back and fix it. Instead of heavy rain, we're hoping for some snow. I honestly can't recall a year when it rained as much as this one has. There were some spectacular thunderstorms. It rained heavily for several hours yesterday. I went to investigate and discovered that the seal had successfully blocked any water from entering. I could see the water trying to form a puddle beneath the table. However, it failed to arrive. It works great as a temporary fix, and I would recommend it.
In the year 2020, I bought this tape and gave it a one-star rating. I said "zero stars" instead of "stars" in my review. I recently purchased two more rolls of waterproof tape because I require it for a variety of projects. br>The tack on this tape appears to have been improved by the manufacturer; it's now difficult to use because it's so sticky. br>Use a carpet or packing knife instead of scissors to cut it. Regardless of whether the tape can be used underwater according to the instructions, make sure the surface is clean and dry before unrolling a length of tape and removing any residue label paper stuck to the tape. Apply with the color side out and press onto the surface, making sure to peel off the adhesive protectant paper before doing so. It's best to use it when the temperature is at least 50 degrees F. Keep the tape in a warm place, and once the side labels are removed, the roll will be very sticky on one side, so place a sandwich bag on that side to make it easier to remove and protect the rest of the roll. br>br>We'll see how this "new" tape performs and how long it lasts. In 2022, I will provide an update.
Excellent tensile and adhesive properties. It's what I use on tarps, and it's lasted months and months. At this point, it appears to be weatherproof. br>br>Handle with caution as it sticks quickly. It can also fold back on itself, ruining a section, so use caution when handling it. br>br>Because it has a peel-off back to access the adhesive, it's easy to measure, cut, and test your size before actually mounting the tape.
I'd heard good things about this, so I decided to give it a try before moving on to more expensive options. I was expecting time-consuming fixes, and I was not let down. Because there are no more drafts coming in through the windows, his electric bill is lower, and there hasn't been a single drop of water from the roof. It seems like getting a product that actually works as well as it claims to these days is becoming increasingly rare, but this stuff is amazing. If you're on the fence about getting it, I can't recommend it highly enough!.
This was purchased to seal a leaking skylight, but it has been too cold to use. So I put it to the test on a shredded rubber frisbee. They were fighting over it and had nearly ripped the center out. I patched it up with a few pieces of this tape, and it's held up well after days of chewing, fighting, and throwing. It's quite a challenge. There are numerous applications for this that I can think of.
Easy to use, multiple uses, and durable. It was better than I had hoped. I bought something else. It's fantastic.
I assumed it would be a good fix for a slow seam leak in my inflatable hot tub because it was listed as waterproof. I followed the instructions to the letter, but the product wouldn't stick to the vinyl surface well enough.
This tape was slapped on a gaping hole near the toilet in the bathroom. WOOH! Finally, a water-proof tape that prevents Earl's filthy stench from leaking throughout the house, YAY!.
