Questions & Answers

Is it possible to write with a Sharpie on this tape, and will it withstand being sprayed with water? I'd like to use the tape to label the wheelchairs that we wash on a weekly basis. ?

It worked great in place of caulk on my bathtub. I'm sure a sharpie pen would work as well as the tape. I'd buy this tape again in a heartbeat. I hope this has been of assistance.

To protect the bottom of my kayak, I planned to purchase a keel guard. Is this something that would suffice?

It's a great tape, but I don't think it'll keep the bottom of your kayak safe. You'd need something that won't be harmed by sharp rocks.

Is it true that the distance between the two points is 50 feet? The roll in the photo does not appear to be 50 feet long. ?

The roll is 50 feet long. I've gone through 20' and still have plenty left. This product met all of my expectations.

Has anyone tried it on vinyl siding on the outside of a house? Is it also good at retaining exterior paint?

It would stick to vinyl without a doubt, but it is quite thick. The back is also extremely smooth. I don't think it'd be very good at holding paint.

BUT, this tape WOULD BE AWESOME
3/5

I'm sorry for writing such a negative review of what SHOULD be an excellent product, but the truth is that the tape drove me insane. br>As I was unspooling the tape, I noticed the paper that separates one wrap from the next TORE. Why? Because the DAMN PLASTIC WRAP THEY USED STUCK TO THE TAPE AND GRIPPED IT WHILE I WAS UNSPOOLING IT. br>I threw away more than I used because the paper ripped halfway across the tape and stuck where it shouldn't have. br>In short, BRAVO! to the people who created this tape and the adhesive backing of the tape. YOU GUYS AND GIRLS ARE AMAZING. br>PLEASE LEAVE THE BUSINESS TO THE COMPLETE INCOMPETENTS WHO PACKAGE THE TAPE! YOU GUYS ARE COMPLETE DUMBASKS! br>Do you think I'm a grumpy customer? Why don't you MORONS unroll a roll of plastic? I'd be blown away if you could pull it off. THE TAPE IS BEAUTIFUL AND EXCELLENT. br>br> THE TAPE IS UNUSABLE DUE TO THE PACKAGING.

Yes, it is effective! This product does exactly what it says on the tin
5/5

It's super sticky, so be careful where you put it because it'll stick to everything! Waterproof to the point of being able to patch an inflatable boat on the water! On my motorhome, I repaired a leaking overhead window, and I could go on and on. Purchase some and find out for yourself how fantastic it is.

This is an excellent cassette
4/5

The tack has a lot of stickiness to it. So, without a doubt, the tape works as intended. The paper backing would tear and stay attached to the very sticky tape, which made the installation a little frustrating at times. As a result, if you don't stop and remove the paper backing that has stuck to the back, the seal will be compromised. Aside from that, it's a fantastic product with lightning-fast delivery. I'd buy it again if I needed more, and I'd take my time applying it. Also, use a razor blade to cut your lengths because scissors get gummed up and don't cut a smooth line.

I used tape to reinforce the sun-damaged top of my trailer awning
5/5

I really like how long this tape lasts. After eight years in the California sun, the top of my trailer awning is beginning to crack. It's a 16-foot awning, and I was able to put three rows of tape across the top using one 50-foot roll. It's been a year since I did this, and it's seen a lot of sun and rain (it's been an unusually wet winter and spring). It's still in good shape, with no signs of deterioration or peeling. Cleaning the awning with dish soap and water, rinsing it, allowing it to dry, and applying one strip at a time, slightly overlapping each strip.

Excellent material for plumbing repairs
5/5

It was used to repair a leaking PVC sewer elbow that had previously been patched with rock-hard cement. Plumber's epoxy, which was once hard but is now crumbling. I couldn't work because I didn't have enough space, so I resorted to cutting 1"-wide strips. 2" pieces of this tape should be shoved into the 1mm gap between the leaking pipe and the concrete wall. br>br>Because the adhesive is thick and strong, you must use caution when using the tape because it will be difficult, if not impossible, to remove once it has adhered to something. br>br>I also had issues with the packing plastic sticking to the side of this tape roll, so I just picked away as much as I could. It was simple to remove any remaining plastic when I unraveled the patch tape, so no harm done. br>br>At first, I was disappointed because my patchwork patch weeped during my first test, which was about a minute after I first patched it. However, I left it alone for the night and it seemed to self-correct. cure. The adhesive clung to the tape pieces, sealing any leaks that remained. This stuff is great, and I'll be buying more to keep in the toolbox.

Tape that is resistant to water
5/5

My shower is in desperate need of replacement. The shower is no longer leak-proof due to caulking. This fall, my plan is to gut and remodel the bathroom. I don't want to spend the money on a new shower only to have to replace it in the fall. This was a fantastic solution. It appears that I taped my shower, and that is exactly what I did! There isn't any water leaking from the shower. It'll serve as a good stopgap measure until I can remodel.

The best option for roof repair
5/5

For a motorhome restoration project, I purchased this tape as well as several others (aluminum 3M, Quick Roof, Dicor), and I tested each one. I witnessed firsthand the devastation that even a small leak can cause over time!br>br>I must say that this Pro-Secure Pro-Secure Pro-Secure Pro-Secure Pro-Secure Pro-Secure Pro-Secur The most practical solution appeared to be tape. The QuickRoof was also good, albeit a little more aggressive (due to thicker butyl), but the Pro-Roof was superior. The tape appears to be the best because it adheres well, isn't overly thick, is white, and appears to be durable. Overall, it's my favorite, and I've used it to reinforce weak spots on the coach's exterior in several ways. It did a fantastic job. There is a backing tape on it that is not visible in the photo.

Hated it! The roll has become clogged, making it extremely difficult to use
3/5

There is a lot of waste, but the tape holds up well. Give me the possible counterfeit tape I got last year any day over the one I got in August of this year. This roll would have been returned if it hadn't been required to be used right away. br>br>Used to keep the pop-up camper's roof from leaking. This is a good fit. This tape is abrasive, and it cannot be separated once it has adhered to itself. That's a good thing; it sticks and doesn't go away! The disadvantages: br>br> br>This is my second roll; I bought it from Amazon using the same advertisement. The first roll I bought a year ago had no branding on the inside (counterfeit?). ) and was incredibly simple to work with. This roll was purchased in August of this year, and the adhesive is leaking out the side of the roll. Adhesive stuck to the plastic in which the tape roll was packaged, making it impossible to remove the plastic from the tape roll's side. Because the tape is stuck to the plastic, it is difficult to remove from the roll, resulting in a lot of pulls that distort the tape's edges. This also caused the paper backing to break every inch or so, making the tape difficult to use because it can't be set down once unrolled. In addition, removing the tape's paper backing was difficult. The part was difficult to remove because the paper was broken when unrolled, and it had to be picked off with a knife in some places because the paper was stuck to the adhesive, and the repair job did not look good due to the bad tape. The bad tape resulted in a significant amount of tape being thrown away.
